I couldn't help but still look at her, even as she sent her eyes away.
I had spent years and years of my life praying for a girlfriend, praying that maybe I could actually live a life with someone.
But now im in that position, and instead of being with her im with some random girl.
What am I even doing…
"Um…I think its time for me to head back…" I say, starting to get up and expand my mana looking for Jane.
"Ohh… Okay. Can we message?"
"Yah… See ya later. Thanks for telling me so much"
"Of course…"
Getting closer to the village I was struggling to find Jane.
One of the downsides of all this mana enhanced music is that it made mana sense significantly less effective.
It took a while of wandering, but eventually I did find her, just, not how I wanted to.
I could see all of her, her inside a tent, in some cows arms.
I didn't even know what to think, I wanted to be angry but how could I?
I could feel my body tense up as my mana stopped obeying me as my concentration faltered, the mana I was using returning to my body.
I didn't know what to do.
I wanted to talk to her but…
So instead of anything else I flew up into the air, and teleported to the shore line.
Leviathan Shore was a relatively peaceful region, likely aside from the massive glooming shadows in the water, but they haven't hurt anyone…yet.
A little part of me wanted them to attack, so I could have a cool story to come back with, but I knew what was going to happen.
It's simple. At some point she's going to message me to come back, then I am, then we're not going to talk about it and it's going to be horrible and awkward and…
Taking a deep breath to look into the ocean I could feel a nice cool breeze hit my face.
It's okay.
I'm a mage who can fly, teleport, I own a pretty good guild, I have a lot of money.
There's so many good things going on, so, I just need to focus on that and ignore…this.
That being said, I started to fly over the water.
I wanted to be the first, or at least one of the first people to get the name of these creatures, and given the bright moon above it didn't take me all that long to see a looming shadow below.
It was a massive beast, orders of magnitude bigger than any creature on earth.
It was comparable to the largest ships ever put into the water, and the feeling it gave me just looking at it made me shudder a bit.
But that wasn't the thing that caught my attention.
In the far distance I could see something glowing in the water, and not wasting time with my time wasting, I started to fly over to them.
They were massive in their own right, and an extremely deep and radiant blue.
"What the…"
Going against my best judgment I shrouded my body and a good bit of air in a barrier and submerged myself into the ocean.
What I found was truly a magical forest of these crystals.
Swimming through them was soothing as an almost electric hum echoed off of them.
The closer I got to these behemoth crystals the better I could feel the mana within.
Mana was the fundamental force of this universe, it was holy and demonic. Thin and wide. Dense and loose.
All that to say that, this mana, it was very old.
It felt ancient, long exceeding anything in this world I'd seen so far.
The element of water within was so concentrated that it felt overwhelming.
And these things gave me an idea.
If the holy element could 'purify', and the dark or demonic could 'corrupt', why couldn't the others?
What's to say that an overwhelming amount of water attribute mana couldn't take over the essence of something else?
And this was a question that ate at me, because I had something that I wanted purified.
[Demon Blood]
Supposedly it was something that could corrupt me, or at least alter my thinking, but this was an opportunity.
There was of course the fear that the demon blood would win the 'corruption war' with this water element crystal, but if that happened I would just put it back in my inventory.
So first, I took the demon blood out of my inventory.
It was a glowing red that screamed danger, and looked like it wanted to burst from the glass ampule it was in.
Nonetheless I popped open the ampule, and carefully drew out mana from the stones.
The amount here was terrifying, and controlling it was taxing my mind to the fullest.
As more and more energy invaded the demon blood I could feel the elements start to interact, but instead of clashing as I thought they would they seemed to merge and overlap.
The demon blood started to freeze into a crystal in its own right, emanating even more power than before.
[Demon Blood (Water)]
[Drinking this blood will grant you enormous power of the water element no matter your level]
Well, I guess that solves that…
Floating out of the water once again I start to inspect the blood.
Now frozen into a gem it glimmered with mana, shining in my hands.
It made me want to go and make a staff from it, something Zach could use.
I can't imagine that it would be evaluated at any lower level than fifty, even if this is the only item I used, but throwing on more rare items; It could be monstrously powerful.
"I need to get a crew out here to mine this before anyone else gets to it" I mutter to myself, opening the global chat as I land on the beach again.
Of course there was the normal spam, guilds posting every hour on the hour, religious organizations doing the same, but still I liked reading it.
When my mind was this clouded I couldn't help but want something to do, even reading the equivalent of spam posts.
Even with that being said there were some upsides to reading it.
It gave me a good idea of the average level of people and where guilds were at.
It seems the top guilds were getting into the fifties, starting to get geared for the raid quest.
Reading that wasent surprising, but it reminded me that I need to arrange a leveling day, where the entire guild goes out and levels together.
I dident care if I or a few other people were level fifty, I wanted us all to be at least level forty one.
This would mean that we were all at least on our second classes and hit that massive power spike.
Things were coming together in my mind, and I quickly starting writing out a message to the guild.
[World Chat]
[High Magister Tero, of the High Order] "I want everyone in the guild at level 45 by 4/12/0. We're planning on running the dungeon we found deep in The Nest, and the Kobald Camp dungeon in the Crooked Hills. After that we'll be running the The Alpine level 40-50 zone as a guild. All of this in an effort to hit that goal"
