He should have turned the offer down as gracefully as he could, he thought to himself as they walked along the hallway that led to the side entrance of the house.
But there was just something about the way she had been desperately trying to convince him to talk a walk with her that urged him to concede.
If he kept that up, she might grow bolder…
But then again, despite having seen him at his lowest when he had been plagued with the fever, he was yet to see her use it against him.
If anything, it seemed as though she was more afraid of him now than she had been at the beginning.
"Was there ever a time you were talkative?" She asked, drawing him out of his thoughts.
Was there ever a time like that? Perhaps he had been more open to discussions and more courteous to women, but being talkative? That wasn't something he knew if he could do…

She drew in a deep, loud breath, earning a sideward glance from him.
