Chapter 93 - Chapter 93

Kizaru successfully handled the most important part—talking things over at home.

As for the remaining troublesome work, like writing plans and arguing with stubborn old fools, Kizaru naturally chose to become a hands-off shopkeeper and threw everything to Orochimaru and Tsunade.

When it came to serious matters, especially matters tied to their own interests, both Tsunade and Orochimaru were reliable.

The day after returning to the village, Kizaru, the Sannin, and the shinobi who had taken part in the war in the Land of Rain attended the commendation ceremony prepared by Konoha.

At the ceremony, Kizaru received heavy praise and publicity. His shining golden title spread completely through Konoha.

At the same time, his achievements—capturing the Third Raikage, defeating Hanzō, and killing the Kazekage—gradually spread through the ninja world.

The name of Shimura Kizaru, Konoha's golden light, began to echo across every nation.

This rising fame brought Kizaru two benefits.

First, the fusion rate of the character card in his mind continued to rise. It was already close to eighty percent.

Second, Iwagakure, which had formed an alliance with Konoha, issued a special order.

If Iwagakure shinobi encountered Kizaru during a mission and entered a hostile situation with him, they were allowed to abandon the mission unconditionally.

No punishment would be given afterward.

The appearance of this order only poured more oil onto Kizaru's reputation, pushing him straight into the ranks of the most dangerous figures in the ninja world.

While becoming famous and stronger at the same time, Kizaru could be considered someone who had already won at life.

Of course, as the person at the center of all those heated discussions, Kizaru did not care much about the outside noise.

Taking advantage of the short period of peace after the Second Shinobi World War, before the envoys from the Lands of Wind, Lightning, and Earth arrived in Konoha, Kizaru resumed his leisurely, half-fishing lifestyle.

It was past ten in the morning.

Kizaru, who had just woken up and eaten breakfast, stood in front of the Shimura residence with both hands tucked into his pockets.

Today was the day Nagato's family officially passed the village's review and joined Konoha.

Together with Tsunade, Kizaru had acted as a guarantor during the examination, so Nagato's grateful family had invited him over for dinner.

As remnants connected to the Uzumaki Clan, and with Nagato's parents possessing medical skills, the family received fairly good arrangements after passing the review.

The village not only arranged for Nagato's parents, Ise and Fusō, to work at the hospital, but also prepared a three-bedroom home for their family.

Originally, the house had been arranged somewhere near the middle outer district of the village.

After Tsunade found out, she waved her hand and directly took out a small detached house with a courtyard from the vacant Senju clan land and gave it to Nagato's family.

As the heir to the Senju Clan's assets, and the woman who held the most real estate in Konoha, giving away one vacant little house was nothing to Tsunade.

"Kizaru-kun, sorry to keep you waiting."

Namikaze Minato walked out of the house carrying two large bags. They were gifts Keiko had prepared for the visit.

Today, Tsunade would be attending Nagato's housewarming meal with Nawaki and Kushina. Kizaru would also be going. Minato, who was not attending the Academy because he was preparing for his early graduation exam, had been brought along as well.

"Ooh, that looks heavy. Must be rough, Minato."

Kizaru said it was rough, but he had no intention of helping. His hands remained in his pockets as he smiled lazily.

"Then… shall we go?"

With that, Kizaru took Minato and headed toward the Senju clan grounds.

By the time Kizaru brought Minato to Nagato's new home, Tsunade, who lived nearby, had already brought Kushina and Nawaki over to help.

"You two are late."

Sitting in the living room, Tsunade immediately complained when she saw Kizaru walk in under Nagato's guidance.

"Ooh-hoo… I came as soon as I woke up."

Kizaru answered with a smile and strolled into the living room.

"Minato, just put those things here."

Seeing Minato carrying two large bags beside Kizaru, Tsunade walked over and helped take them.

Then she glanced sideways at Kizaru and immediately scolded him.

"Minato is your kohai, isn't he? At least help him carry something, you lazy bastard."

Kizaru reached out and rubbed Minato's head while the boy tried to help Tsunade.

"I'm just training his body, Tsunade-senpai."

"Tch."

Tsunade folded her arms and clicked her tongue.

"Kizaru-senpai, please have some tea!"

Nagato, who had opened the door for Kizaru earlier, obediently brought a cup of hot tea from the kitchen.

"What a good kid."

Kizaru bent down, accepted the cup, then rubbed the back of Nagato's head before walking straight to the sofa and sitting down.

"Nagato, this is Namikaze Minato. He's Kizaru's junior, so you can call him Minato-niisan."

Tsunade was always patient with obedient children.

Nagato nodded seriously, then looked at Minato, who wore a warm smile.

"Hello, Minato-nii."

"Hello, Nagato."

Minato lowered his head slightly and greeted him gently.

"Minato, Kushina and Nawaki are in the backyard. Take Nagato and go play with them."

Tsunade spoke softly to the two children.

Hearing that, Nagato's eyes showed a trace of interest.

But because of his introverted personality, he did not dare to invite Minato himself.

"Okay, Tsunade-senpai."

Minato noticed Nagato's expression right away. He took the initiative to hold Nagato's small hand and led him toward the backyard in the direction Tsunade pointed.

Watching Minato and Nagato walk away hand in hand, Kizaru leaned back on the sofa and sighed with emotion.

"How nice…"

Tsunade looked at the two children, then heard Kizaru's strangely old-fashioned tone. She walked over with one hand on her hip.

"Hey. You and Minato are the same age, aren't you?"

Usually, because of Kizaru's mature figure and attitude, Tsunade almost forgot how young he actually was.

Kizaru crossed his legs, touched his chin, and looked up at Tsunade with a teasing smile.

"That's right. We're both more than ten years younger than you, Tsunade-senpai."

A vein instantly throbbed on Tsunade's forehead.

Her hand, which had been resting on her hip, slowly clenched into a fist.

"Kizaru… do you want to die?"

Her smile was stiff, and her eyes were frighteningly calm.

Kizaru looked at Tsunade's murderous stare and smiled as if nothing had happened.

"Ooh… how scary."

Tsunade raised her fist.

Then she brought it down lightly against Kizaru's chest.

"You bastard. Watch your mouth when you talk to me."

With her fist still pressed against his chest, Kizaru raised both hands in surrender.

"I understand, Tsunade-senpai."

He had clearly given in, but the lazy smile on his face somehow made Tsunade even angrier.

The more she looked at him, the more annoyed she became.

Ah.

I really want to punch this bastard.

Tsunade screamed inwardly.

But considering that today was Nagato's housewarming celebration, she forced herself to hold back.

She withdrew her hand, folded her arms in front of her chest again, then turned her head and headed toward the kitchen.
