Chapter 45 - Learning the Moon Power

The forest behind the pack mansion was quiet under the moonlight.

Kayden led Ariana to a small open clearing.

"This will be our training ground," he said.

Ariana looked around nervously.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?"

Kayden shrugged.

"If Darius comes back, you'll need to defend yourself."

He stepped back and crossed his arms.

"Now… try to use your power."

Ariana frowned.

"That's the problem. I don't know how."

Kayden picked up a small stone from the ground and tossed it toward her.

"Focus on stopping it."

The stone flew toward Ariana.

Instinctively, she raised her hand.

For a moment nothing happened.

Then suddenly—

A faint silver glow appeared around her palm.

The stone slowed down in the air and dropped to the ground.

Kayden smiled.

"See? You're already learning."

Ariana looked surprised.

"I did that?"

Kayden nodded.

"The Moon power responds to your emotions."

"But you have to control it instead of letting it explode."

Ariana took a deep breath and tried again.

This time she focused harder.

The silver light appeared again, brighter than before.

The leaves around the clearing started moving slightly as the energy spread.

Kayden whistled softly.

"Well… that's impressive."

But hidden behind the trees, another pair of glowing blue eyes watched the scene.

Jayden.

He had followed them quietly.

His wolf instincts were uneasy.

Seeing Kayden and Ariana training together made something twist inside his chest.

Jealousy.

But it wasn't just that.

Jayden knew something dangerous.

The closer Ariana and Kayden became…

The more complicated the future of the pack would become.

Because if Ariana truly was the Moon Heir…

Then both Alpha brothers might be tied to her destiny.

And that kind of fate had destroyed packs before.

Jayden stepped out from the shadows.

"I knew you two were up to something."

Kayden sighed dramatically.

"Well… looks like the angry Alpha found us."

Ariana looked between the two brothers nervously.

Because something told her…

This training was about to turn into another argument.
