That night, the group stayed inside a guest tower in Lunareth.
The city seemed peaceful and safe.
But danger was already inside the walls.
Arian stood on the balcony, looking at the glowing crystal towers.
Lyra joined him.
"Thinking about the journey?" she asked.
Arian nodded.
"I never imagined my life would become like this."
Lyra smiled slightly.
"Fate chooses strange heroes sometimes."
Suddenly, a loud alarm echoed through the city.
Red magical lights flashed across the sky.
Draven ran into the room.
"Something's wrong!"
Arkon looked out the window.
Dark shadows were flying toward the city walls.
"Malvyr's army!" he shouted.
At that moment, the door behind them slowly opened.
Master Selorin stepped inside.
But something was different.
Dark energy surrounded him.
Lyra gasped.
"You…"
Selorin smiled coldly.
"Yes."
"I serve Malvyr."
Arian felt shocked.
"You betrayed us!"
Selorin raised his hand.
Dark magic filled the room.
"I simply did what was necessary."
"Malvyr promised me unlimited power once the Abyss Gate opens."
Draven drew his swords.
"You won't get the map."
Selorin laughed.
"Oh, I already have what I need."
He pointed toward the table.
The glowing map had disappeared.
Arian's heart dropped.
Selorin slowly stepped backward toward the door.
"Malvyr will soon control the Heart of Abyss."
"And when he does…"
"The world of Eldoria will belong to him."
With a flash of dark magic, Selorin vanished.
Outside the window, Malvyr's dark army was already attacking Lunareth.
The battle for the city had begun.
