At 5:00 a.m., Jung Woo suddenly woke up with a loud shout.
"No!"
His mother quickly rushed into his room.
"Jung Woo! Why did you scream like that?" she asked worriedly.
Jung Woo sat up on the bed and took a deep breath.
"It's nothing, Mom. I just had a bad dream."
His mother looked at him carefully and then smiled softly.
"Since you're already awake, come downstairs. Let's have some tea."
"Okay, Mom."
At 8:00 a.m., Jung Woo was ready to leave for college.
"Bye, Mom! I'm going now."
From the kitchen, his mom replied,
"Alright! Take care of yourself."
"Okay, Mom!"
On the way, Jung Woo thought,
Maybe I should ask Mike to come to my house tomorrow. We can talk to Mom about going to Korea.
A few minutes later, Mike arrived.
"Hey man! How are you?" Mike asked.
"I'm good," Jung Woo replied. "Listen, will you come to my house tomorrow?"
"Why?"
"We should talk to Mom about going to Korea."
Mike smiled.
"Hmm… okay. Let's do that."
"Alright, let's go to class now."
At college, Mike suddenly said,
"Hey, you know what I think?"
"What?" Jung Woo asked.
"That girl over there…"
"Which girl?"
"You know… Cristy."
Jung Woo laughed.
"Wait… are you talking about Cristy?"
"Yes!"
Mike looked nervous.
"Can you talk to her for me?"
"Why should I talk to her? You talk to her yourself."
"No way! She doesn't even notice me. But she might listen to you."
Jung Woo sighed.
"Fine."
They walked toward Cristy.
"Hey Cristy," Jung Woo said.
"Yes? Did you call me?" she replied.
"I want to tell you something. My friend Mike… he likes you."
Cristy looked surprised.
"What?"
"He wants to date you."
Cristy frowned.
"Are you serious? I don't like that guy at all."
She paused for a moment and looked at Jung Woo.
"I thought you came here to talk to me… but you're talking about your friend."
Then she walked away.
Jung Woo returned to Mike.
"Well… she said she doesn't like you."
Mike sighed.
"I knew it."
"You knew it? Then why did you send me?"
Mike shrugged.
"Because she might listen to you."
"Well… she didn't."
Both of them laughed awkwardly and went to class.
As they entered the classroom, a girl suddenly stood in front of them.
"Who is Lee Jung Woo?" she asked.
"That's me," Jung Woo replied.
"My name is Nancy."
She gave him a flower.
"I love you."
Jung Woo looked shocked.
"What? Are you crazy? I'm not interested in you."
Nancy looked angry.
"You're so rude!"
"I said go."
"Fine! I'm leaving!"
Mike burst into laughter.
"Man… your life is dramatic."
"Stop it," Jung Woo said. "Let's just go home."
Mike tried to cheer him up.
"Come on. I'll buy you your favorite hotdog."
"That sounds good."
The next day, Mike came to Jung Woo's house.
He rang the bell.
Jung Woo's mom called from inside,
"Jung Woo, see who it is!"
Jung Woo opened the door.
"Oh, Mike! Come in."
"Hello, Auntie," Mike greeted.
"Come inside. Let's have breakfast."
After sitting down, Mike said,
"Auntie, during this vacation we want to go to Korea."
His mother looked surprised.
"Korea?!"
"Yes, Auntie," Mike said politely. "Please allow us."
"But it's very far."
"But Auntie, you're Korean too, right?" Mike asked.
"Yes… but our family doesn't live there anymore."
"Please Auntie… we just want to travel."
They both begged.
Finally, she smiled.
"Alright. You can go."
Mike jumped with excitement.
"You're amazing, Auntie!"
"Alright, alright," she laughed. "Now eat before breakfast gets cold."
Two weeks later, Mike called Jung Woo.
"Hey! Pack your bag!"
"I'm already packing."
"Good. We're leaving tomorrow."
"See you."
"Bye!"
Soon they arrived at the airport.
"Man, I'm so excited!" Mike said.
"Me too," Jung Woo replied.
They bought hotdogs while waiting for their flight.
Then the announcement came.
"Attention passengers. The flight to Korea will depart in five minutes."
They quickly boarded the plane.
During the flight, an air hostess came to them.
"Can I help you, sir?"
"Yes, I need something to eat."
"Sure, I'll be back."
Mike whispered,
"She's beautiful. Should I ask for her number?"
Jung Woo rolled his eyes.
"You notice girls everywhere."
The hostess returned.
"Here is your meal."
"Thank you," Jung Woo said.
"By the way, what's your name?" Mike asked.
"My name is Ariana."
"Nice name," Mike smiled.
After watching a movie, Jung Woo slowly fell asleep.
In his dream, he saw a girl.
But he couldn't see her face.
"Who are you?" he asked.
The girl laughed softly.
"Why do you want to know?"
"Because… I keep seeing you in my dreams."
"But you said you don't like girls," she teased.
"That's not true," Jung Woo replied.
"Then why can't you see my face?"
Before he could answer, Mike shook him awake.
"Wake up! We're about to land!"
Jung Woo looked outside.
They had arrived in Korea.
"This place is beautiful," he said.
They took a taxi and went to a hotel near the Han River.
At the reception desk, a girl greeted them.
"Welcome. How can I help you?"
"We need a room," Jung Woo said.
"Sure."
Mike smiled and asked,
"By the way, what's your name?"
"My name is Park Bora."
"Nice name," Mike said.
They took their room key and went upstairs.
Jung Woo immediately lay down on the bed and fell asleep.
Mike looked at him and laughed.
"One day… someone will definitely fall in love with this guy."
Thinking that, Mike also went to sleep.
