Synopsis
As the war between global confederation and resistance intensified, both factions decided to use their warheads. A syndicate scientist named Edward White, realised that the war is going too war and tried to discourage his superiors to stop providing arms to both side. But sadly his superior especially John Doe didn't care about it, and believed that syndicate could somehow ensure the planets survival and continue to profit from war. John realising that syndicate is too blind ob the war between global government and rebels, decided to escape the planet alone. His personal gigantic laboratory is infact a giant space arc. Before the warheads of both factions, the nuclear weapons of resistance and sky beams of global confederation hit the ground, Edward managed to escape leaving the nearly destroyed earth behind. One month later, his spaceship/laboratory landed on frozen north of continent of new planet he landed on, the satellite scanning reveals that this planet has all 114 chemical elements like on earth, much to relief of Edward as he will never run out of materials he need. Having left his old life behind, Edward decided to start anew in this new world. Little did he know the world he is in now defy all scientific understanding of planet earth.

Chapter 1 - The argument

The war between two forces, the global confederation and resistance intensifies as time passes by. Global confederation is global government who tried to create a world without wars and borders, their goals while noble is very strict often costing individual freedom. To make the matter worse, the internal corruption, increasing inequality between upper class and middle/lower class, people being treated as biological machine, job displacements and lack of any re-training programs, created unrest amongst the common folks.

As the result, the resistance, a coalition of various rebel groups is formed, their goal is simple, overthrow the current government, and restore freedom and equality. However, while genuine freedom fighters, their insurgent actions results in destabilization, increasing chaos, disruption of progress and more importantly distruption of peace and prosperity that world finally achieved.

Thus, both sides while having noble goals are both harming the society, as in this morally gray world, every organisation has light side and dark side. The government provide peace, progress, prosperity and order but at the expense of human rights, freedom and equality, similarly, the rebels provide equality, human rights, freedom and generous help to people but their action cause chaos and anarchy throughout the world.

In the end, it doesn't matter who wins, both sides will doom the world, regardless of their respective noble ideals and goals.

I can't believe this! Can't you see the escalation of war between global government and rebels, if this continues the planet will become wasteland. I am telling you this war only get worse as time passes by, please stop providing the arms to both sides and stop this war at all cost, before government and rebels doom this planet.

I understand your concern Dr. White, but there's nothing we can do to stop them, all we can do is to profit from sales of weapons and raise our own power. As for war, don't worry, syndicate will prevail and we will restore this planet.

In the headquarter of global arms dealer, Syndicate, one of the lead scientist of syndicate, Dr. Edward White and syndicate leader John Doe argue as usual as the confederation vs resistance war intensifies.

Dr. Edward White, is a genius scientist, a polymath infact, he is mastered every knowledge and expertise of science and technology. In terms of appearance, he look very young and handsome, but one should not be fooled by his look, as the young man infact an old man whose age crossed 100. When Edward was young and worked as biochemist, long before global confederation is formed, he successfully invented an anti-ageing serum, that stop the ageing of human cells, practically granting one an eternal life.

Edward injected this serum on himself, stopping his ageing, and retained his youthful appearance. Thanks to his eternal lifespan, he had more than enough time to study and master everything, becoming the polymath he is now.

Because of his feats, prior to formation of global confederation which become the unified government of earth, when syndicate, a global arms dealer organisation is founded, he recieved job offer from the organisation. Edward looking for new job, agreed to join, in hope to earn his living by creating the arms for guards, security forces and peacekeepers.

When the war between global confederation and resistance begins, Edward noted the positive and negative of both factions, and the reason why the war even took place in first place, but he believed that war will be over soon, the damage won't be that great and war serves as means for revenue for syndicate for the arms they provide to both sides.

Which is why, Edward released many weapons, combat vehicles and even advanced prototypes, used by both factions to gain an edge in war. At first, Edward was enjoying his raise and promotion, but as war intensified, he become disillusioned, realising the war wouldn't over until the world is doomed, not matter how rich and influential syndicate becomes, there won't by any world left to protect and restore. Which is why he tried to convince the leader of the organisation to stop providing arms, advanced prototypes and uranum and negotiate with both sides to stop this meaningless war. For other organisation this would have been impossible but not for syndicate, who can easily stop this war and allow peace treaty to be signed between government and rebels. Sadly, the leader of syndicate, John Doe, was conivinced and confident that syndicate could somehow fix everthing later, and is simply focused on amassing the profits from this war.

I understand that you want profit and rise in influence of organisation through this war, but you must understand that there's no point of having gain from a war that will end this world.

I disagree, this war is perfect opportunity, to gain funds for our research, to raise our influence, so can he strengthen our organisation and create many wonderful things rather than just arms, like medicines, electronics, transports, groceries, industries and so on.

But if the world is destroyed beyond repair, there won't be any point of gaining new status, especially if this war guarantees the mutual destruction, there won't be a world left for us, where he gain market dominance or have any chance in contributing to rise of progress and prosperity. I am telling you, this war will turn the world into wasteland, especially if all resistance nuclear launchers and all confederation space systems are used, it will lead to total global collapse, with nothing left.

Dr. WHITE! I UNDERSTAND YOUR CONCERN BUT MY DECISION IS FINAL! Syndicate will continue supply arms to gain funds for our research, we won't stop until we get what we want, I don't care about warheads of government and rebels.

But...

No buts, return to your work, the higher ups will make decision for this world, regardless of circumstances of war.

Edward realises that any argument is futile, as John Doe will continue what he is doing, Edward decided to give up.

Fine... I just hope you don't regret your choice later.

Whatever.

Edward left the office disapointted on the leader of this organisation. Edward decided to make a decision, he submitted his resignation and immediately went towards his private laboratory, he finally made a decision and decided to take action.
