"Is there a problem?" she asked, her eyes still fixed on me.
I cleared my throat, breaking eye contact.
"No, there's nothing. I thought you called me back," I said awkwardly, taking a few steps back.
She didn't speak and kept staring at me.
I quickly turned and left.
I got inside the elevator, and soon I was out. Unfortunately, the others weren't around by the time I got there. I pulled out my phone, not knowing what to do next.
Suddenly, it buzzed, and I flinched, the phone slipping through my fingers before I finally caught it.
I stared wide-eyed at the caller ID, cold sweat breaking out across my skin.
"Minjae?"
Why the hell was he calling me?
Could something worse have happened?
I bit the collar of my shirt as I stared at the phone. Then the memory of Ara telling him everything I'd done flashed through my mind, and I immediately threw away the thought of answering.
"I should head home," I muttered as I walked out of the company.
