The apartment was as it always was, small, no more than twenty square meters, with its slightly dirty white walls and simple furniture. The unmade bed, the desk piled with papers, the half-open wardrobe, and the curtain drawn over a window overlooking a side street.
Nayun: (Taking off her small shoes) "Dad, I'm tired."
Anas: (Patting her head) "Go wash your face, then you can sleep."
Nayun went to the small bathroom, and Anas remained standing in the middle of the room. He looked around, at this modest place where this body and his family lived. For a moment, he felt something strange, something between nostalgia and responsibility.
He sat on the modest sofa and took out his phone. He browsed some news, read about the latest gates that appeared in Seoul, and about the movements of the major guilds. Then he opened his bank account and contemplated the new number: 30,001,247,000 won. He smiled.
Nayun: (Coming out of the bathroom in her pajamas) "Dad, will Mom be back soon?"
Anas: "I think so. Go to bed, I'll wait for her."
Nayun: (Yawning) "I won't sleep until she comes."
Anas: "As you wish."
Nayun sat beside him and started watching some cartoons on the phone. Half an hour passed, then they heard the sound of the key in the door.
The door opened, and Park Ji-won entered.
She was a woman in her mid-twenties, with long black hair tied back haphazardly. She wore simple work clothes, and her face was pale from exhaustion. She carried a heavy bag on her shoulder, and her steps were slow as if she could barely stand on her feet.
Ji-won: (Sighing with fatigue) "Ah... finally, I'm back."
Nayun: (Jumping from her spot and running towards her mother) "Mom! Mom!"
Nayun hugged her mother warmly, holding her tightly. Ji-won bent down slightly, patted her back, then kissed her head.

She screamed, pushing Nayun behind her, grabbing a shoe from the floor to throw at Anas.

Ji-won: (Screaming while waving the shoe) "What dad?! This is a strange man! Where's Anas?! What did you do to Anas?!"
Anas: (Standing calmly with his hands raised) "Ji-won... I'm Anas. I'm your husband."
Ji-won: (Pausing for a moment, then looking at him with wide eyes) "You... you're not Anas! Anas has black hair, a tired face, old clothes! You... you're so handsome!"
Anas: (Laughing) "Thanks... I think."
Nayun: (Tugging her mother's hand) "Mom, really! It's Dad! He changed! His hair turned white and he became handsome!"
Ji-won: (Staring at him, approaching cautiously) "Anas?"
Anas: (Calmly) "Yes. I'm Anas."
Ji-won approached closer, scrutinizing his face. She looked at his gray eyes, his radiant white skin, his short, shiny white hair. She stepped back, holding her head.
Ji-won: "I don't believe it... I don't believe it... How? What happened to you?"
Anas: "Long story."
Ji-won: (Approaching him and touching his hair) "And your hair... why did you dye it white?! Don't you know I hate white hair?! My grandmother had white hair and she scared me!"
Anas: (Smiling) "I didn't dye it. It just changed color."
Ji-won: (Staring at him) "How does hair just change color like that?!"
Nayun: (Jumping between them) "Mom, I told you! He changed! Dad became strong and handsome!"
Ji-won: (Looking at Nayun, then at Anas) "I... I need to sit down."
She sat on the sofa, still staring at Anas. He sat beside her.
Anas: "I know it's shocking. But I promise you everything is fine."
Ji-won: (Breathing heavily) "But... how?"
Anas: "I'll explain everything. But first..."
He turned to Nayun.
Anas: "Nayun, bedtime."
Nayun: (Whining) "But I'm not sleepy! I want to stay with you both!"
Anas: "Go to bed. Dad and Mom need to talk about grown-up stuff."
Nayun: (Looking at them) "Grown-up stuff?"
Ji-won: (Composing herself) "Yes, sweetheart. Go to sleep, we'll talk tomorrow."
Nayun: (Sighing) "Fine... but don't stay up too late."
Nayun went to the small bed in the corner of the room and covered herself with the blanket. Her eyes stayed open for a while, but soon closed.

He opened the wardrobe door and pulled out a large black bag. He placed it on the floor in front of Ji-won, then opened it.
