Prologue
Was a human born to carry a destiny,
or is destiny slowly taught to them by time?
This question echoed in the mind of a man who stood inside a grand palace long ago.
He knelt on the cold marble floor before a silent statue, his head bowed low.
The statue was lifeless—yet it was a witness.
Tears fell from his eyes, soaking the ground beneath him,
as if he were asking time itself for an answer it refused to give.
Chapter One: start
Twenty-Five Years Later
The room was dimly lit.
Half-drawn curtains allowed a thin blade of light to cut across the walls.
A young man sat in front of a computer screen,
a controller in his hands,
his eyes lost in a game where victory and defeat meant nothing beyond a moment.
The door opened.
"So," his father said, his voice heavy with concern,
"what have you decided to do with your life? What's next?"
Without taking his eyes off the screen, the young man replied,
"I haven't thought about it."
The screen went black.
Silence filled the room—thick and bitter.
"How much more time do you need?" his father snapped.
"All you do is play games. Morning to night.
I'll give you one month.
If you don't find a job by then, leave this house.
You don't want to achieve anything in your life."
With those words, he turned and walked out,
closing the door behind him.
The young man remained seated.
In the dark reflection of the screen, he saw his own face—
empty, quiet, and filled with unanswered questions.
