That same night, Blackwood City became strangely quiet.Around 12:30 a.m., heavy rain started falling and most people were asleep. Streetlights flickered on the empty roads.
But near an old abandoned warehouse on the edge of the city, something unusual happened.
A black car slowly stopped nearby.
The door opened.
It was Ryan.
He stepped out wearing a dark jacket and looked around carefully, as if he was making sure no one was watching him.
Earlier that day in class, the warehouse had been one of the red circles on his map.
Rayan walked toward the building.
Inside the warehouse, the lights were broken and the place was filled with dust and silence. But in the center of the room, something was lying on the floor.
A small metal box.
Ryan slowly opened it.
Inside the box were old photographs, documents, and a strange symbol carved on a piece of metal.
His face remained calm, but his eyes became colder.
Suddenly—
A loud noise came from behind him.
Someone else was in the warehouse.
Ryan quickly turned around.
But the room was empty.
Only the sound of rain hitting the broken windows echoed through the building.
Ryan slowly closed the box and whispered to himself,
