The chamber felt alive.

Not because of the machines humming beneath the floor.

Not because of the flashing red warning lights reflecting off the steel walls.

But because of her.

Emily stood at the center of the chamber, her body trembling as golden energy flickered violently across her skin, pulsing in uneven bursts like a heartbeat gone wrong.

The air around her distorted.

Heat rippled outward.

The ground beneath her feet cracked slowly, thin fractures spreading like spiderwebs through the reinforced floor.

No one dared to move.

Even the guards—trained, armed, prepared for war—stood frozen, their fingers hovering over their weapons but unwilling to act.

Because they all felt it.

One wrong move…

And she would destroy everything.

"Emily…"

Alexander's voice cut through the silence.

Low.

Controlled.

But beneath it—

Urgency.

He took a step forward.

Then another.

Each movement careful, deliberate, as if approaching a storm that could turn violent at any second.
