Chapter 75 - Bullet’s Escape Plan! Da Hong Goes Berserk Again!

Impel Down — Level 6, Eternal Hell

For the first time in its history, Eternal Hell had become strangely peaceful.

There were two reasons for this.

First, Chief Jailer Shiryu had been beaten half to death by Da Hong. He hadn't died, but at minimum he wouldn't be getting out of bed for the next two months.

Second, after witnessing Da Hong's overwhelming strength, the inmates of Level 6 no longer dared act recklessly. Instead, all of them were trying their best to curry favor with him, hoping that one day he might lead them out of the abyss.

A new day began.

When Da Hong finally woke up naturally and opened his eyes, he found two jailers already delivering breakfast.

Fresh carrots.

Roasted chicken legs.

Hamburgers.

And even iced cola.

Not a single prisoner in Eternal Hell felt jealous.

On the contrary, they all sincerely hoped Da Hong would eat well, drink well, and stay in the best mood possible.

The two jailers delivering the food, however, were trembling from head to toe. The instant they placed everything neatly on the small table in front of him, they turned and fled as fast as they could.

"Hahaha! Those damned jailers finally know fear too!"

"Well of course they do. This is Lord Kirenenko we're talking about! Even the chief jailer and the warden got beaten half to death. What are two little jailers supposed to do?"

While prisoners in nearby cells laughed, mocked, and pitied the guards in equal measure, one inmate in a cell diagonally across from Da Hong was watching him with grim focus.

From his angle, what sat inside the hamburger was clearly not beef or any other filling.

It was a small black sphere, dark and glossy.

A man who had been imprisoned in Eternal Hell for nearly twenty years, he recognized it at once:

a poison gas bomb condensed from Magellan's Venom-Venom Fruit.

The one who noticed it at the same time was the Red Count in the neighboring cell.

"This is bad, Bullet."

Seeing the poison bomb inside the hamburger, Redfield frowned and turned toward the hulking man beside him.

"It's about to get lively in Eternal Hell again."

The giant man slowly raised his head, revealing a pair of savage eyes. Though his entire body was chained, his aura was completely unaffected.

Douglas Bullet.

Known as the Demon Heir.

A former member of the Roger Pirates.

A user of the Gasha-Gasha Fruit, and a man who also possessed Conqueror's Haki.

Bullet did not turn to look at the Red Count. Instead, he kept his gaze fixed on Da Hong.

During the twenty years he had spent locked in Eternal Hell, he had never once slackened in his training. Everything he did was to surpass Roger and become the strongest Pirate King in history.

That goal had driven him to cultivate his power to the absolute limit.

What he hadn't expected was that before he could put his own escape plan into motion, Da Hong would be thrown into Eternal Hell first—and proceed to beat both Shiryu and Magellan into the ground.

After seeing the Red Rabbit's absurd strength with his own eyes, Bullet already knew the prison could not hold him forever.

Da Hong escaping was only a matter of time.

And just now, the moment Bullet saw the poison gas bomb hidden inside the hamburger, he caught a glimpse of the future through his Observation Haki.

In that future, Da Hong did not die from the poison bomb.

Instead, he entered berserk mode again—

and then rampaged all the way from Level 6 to Level 1.

At that same moment, Avalo Pizarro, whose cell was close enough to clearly see the bomb, finally noticed it too.

"L-Lord Kirenenko, the h-hamburger…"

The instant he spotted the poison bomb, Pizarro's eyes went wide, and he hurriedly opened his mouth to warn Da Hong.

But before he could finish, a dizzying pressure suddenly descended on him.

At the same time, Bullet's voice rang out in his ear.

"If you don't want to die, shut up."

Pizarro's pupils shrank violently.

As another Level 6 prisoner, he naturally knew exactly who Douglas Bullet was.

A former member of Roger's crew.

A man so monstrous that the Marines had once launched a Buster Call just to deal with him alone.

Faced with pressure from a being like that, Pizarro instantly swallowed the rest of his warning.

Meanwhile, after finishing the chicken leg, Da Hong picked up the hamburger with both hands and calmly raised it toward his mouth.

Seeing that, Pizarro turned his head away, unable to bear watching what came next.

Bullet, however, smiled—a rare expression for him.

"Red Count," he said casually, "once we leave Impel Down, where do you plan to go?"

At the same time—

Warden's Office

Through the surveillance Den Den Mushi, Magellan watched as Da Hong failed to notice the poison gas bomb from beginning to end and simply lifted the hamburger to his mouth.

For some reason, Magellan felt tense.

His instincts told him Da Hong probably wouldn't die from this.

Unless—

unless Da Hong somehow swallowed the poison bomb whole without noticing and let it explode inside his stomach.

But that was ridiculous.

There was no way—

And then Da Hong did exactly that.

Under the horrified gaze of Magellan, Bullet, Redfield, Pizarro, and all the inmates of Level 6, Da Hong stuffed the entire hamburger into his mouth and swallowed it in one bite.

For a split second, Eternal Hell fell into dumbstruck silence.

"What is wrong with him? That poison gas bomb was huge! How did he not notice it?!"

"It's over, it's over! The Red Rabbit's done for! That bomb's going to explode inside him!"

Some of the prisoners felt their entire worldview cracking apart.

"Our hope of getting out… gone!"

Then—

Da Hong suddenly lowered his head.

Before anyone could react, a muffled blast sounded from his stomach.

Boom.

The poison gas bomb exploded inside him, instantly inflating his belly outward like a balloon.

Then poisonous gas began spewing from his nostrils.

The next second, Da Hong snapped his head up.

His golden eyes blazed.

Before the prisoners—or Magellan in his office—could respond, Da Hong's body blurred and reappeared directly in front of the bars.

A familiar explosion rang out.

Bang!

The prison door was kicked off its hinges and smashed straight into the two jailers who had delivered the hamburger.

In the office, Magellan saw everything through the surveillance feed.

The poison gas bomb had not injured Da Hong in the slightest.

If anything, it had only triggered his berserk state again.

Without the slightest hesitation, Magellan snatched up the Den Den Mushi wearing a gas mask and roared:

"Maximum alert! The Red Rabbit has gone berserk again!"
