Kingpin knew Lock disliked the Riddler, so after a little joke, he got down to business:
Two things.
"First, some news: I've taken care of things with the Hand. They won't be investigating who wiped out the Japanese gang anymore, so you won't have any trouble."
Lock nodded, not particularly surprised.
If Kingpin can't even handle this small matter, then he doesn't deserve the title of "underground emperor."
Kingpin continued, "Secondly, didn't you want what the Life Foundation's ships brought back?"
"I've already had someone find out the exact time. The spaceship will land at the Life Foundation research base in San Francisco at 10 p.m. sharp tonight. I've arranged a helicopter for you tonight. You can have dinner with your family before you set off."
"The reason is that the company will be holding a Christmas party tonight, which will be right after dinner. As an employee, you should participate, shouldn't you?"
Lock nodded knowingly, without asking Kingpin the idiotic question of how he knew he wanted something from the Life Foundation's ship.
He was looking at the USB drive data on Kingpin's computer, and at the time, Kingpin's double was standing behind him under the pretense of serving him tea and water, so it would be strange if Kingpin didn't know.
However, he didn't mind that Kingpin knew.
Since Jin doesn't have the advantage of foresight and doesn't know the true value of the symbiote, he naturally wouldn't risk offending himself just to obtain it.
Instead, they will proactively provide convenience for themselves, just like they are now.
However, Kingpin has already come up with a reason for leaving home, so it would be impolite for Lock not to show any reaction.
Therefore, Lock took the initiative to invite Kingpin to his home for dinner for the first time.
Kingpin, who had always wanted to get closer to Lock, naturally had no reason to refuse.
During the meal, Kingpin seemed very happy, constantly praising Mei's food as delicious.
But Lock, seeing that Kingpin's plate didn't actually have much less food, knew that Kingpin was just trying to eat less by talking more.
Sure enough, after dinner, Lock left with Kingpin, citing the company's Christmas party as an excuse.
Kingpin, his face grim as soon as he got into the car, declared that May was the most terrifying person he had ever met besides Lock!
How can anyone make food that tastes so bad yet isn't poisonous...?
When Lock followed Kingpin to the Fisk Building, he discovered that there really was a Christmas party going on, and the venue had already been set up.
But don't get me wrong, Kingpin wasn't built specifically to cover for Lock, but for Vanessa.
Kingpin pointed to the rooftop to Lock, indicating that the prepared helicopter was there, and then led Vanessa into the ball.
Lock, however, went against the flow of the lively party and took the elevator to the top floor of the building.
When they got to the rooftop, there was indeed a helicopter parked on the helipad, and a shiny bald man was leaning against it, smoking.
Lock looked up and realized, "Isn't that so-and-so?"
Oh, right, Bullseye.
Lock stepped forward and glanced at Bullseye's head: "Where's your hair?"
Bullseye was stunned for a moment, then veins bulged on his forehead, and he gritted his teeth and said, "Didn't you fucking make me shave last time?"
Lock thought about it for a moment before he remembered that there was indeed such a thing.
However, he only said it casually at the time and forgot about it when he got home.
However, if Bullseye had chosen not to shave his head back then, would he have twisted it off? The answer is, he did, if he remembered later.
After all, he had already made the promise; if he didn't keep it, wouldn't he be breaking his word?
Doesn't he have any pride? Bullseye should lose his head rather than lose face, right?
Lock ignored Bullseye's anger, boarded the plane, glanced at the empty cockpit, then reached out and tapped Bullseye's shiny bald head, asking:
"Hey, where's the driver?"
"I'm fucking the one!" Bullseye said irritably as he got into the driver's seat.
Lock glanced at him, somewhat curiously, and said, "Aren't you Kingpin's new right-hand man? Are you being asked to do something as simple as delivering someone? Aren't you going home to be with your family for Christmas?"
Upon hearing this, Bullseye's hands, gripping the joystick, trembled with rage, feeling as if the other party was constantly provoking him!
He was abandoned in an orphanage as a child and later locked up in a mental hospital. He has no family, not even a single friend!
So he had a Christmas with Santa's smelly socks!
Bullseye forced back his tears and started the helicopter into the air, silently vowing that if the other party provoked him again, he would pilot the helicopter to take them down with him!
Unfortunately, after the helicopter took off, Lock closed his eyes to rest, and Bullseye was not mentally attacked by Lock's elbow again, causing the helicopter to crash.
Wait, why did I say "again"?
Da da da da-————
Soon, after a flight of about three hours, the helicopter arrived in San Francisco.
Bullseye parked the helicopter on a helipad close to the Life Foundation.
After the helicopter stopped, Bullseye put his legs up on the control panel and coldly said to Lock, who had just gotten off the helicopter:
"I'll wait for you here until midnight. After midnight, you can go back on your own!"
Lock glanced at Bullseye, who was acting all high and mighty, and smiled slightly: "Midnight? You'd better wait here quietly. If I come back and don't see you, I'll break your legs!"
After saying that, without waiting for Bullseye to reply, Lock had already put on his mask and flown two miles away on his web.
Upon arriving near the Life Foundation's experimental base, Lock did not choose to go inside. Instead, he found a large tree in the forest not far from the Life Foundation's helipad and waited quietly.
If he remembered correctly, the spaceship would not land at the Life Foundation's helipad as originally planned. Instead, the symbiotes on the spaceship would start causing trouble as it approached, leading to the spaceship's eventual crash.
really.....
A spaceship whose exterior was burning from high-speed friction appeared in mid-air at around 9:50 p.m., ten minutes earlier than its scheduled landing time of 10 p.m.
Furthermore, it did not land on the Life Gene Society's helipad, but rather in the surrounding forest.
Upon seeing this, Lock immediately swung on his web and rushed towards the direction where the spaceship had crashed.
At his speed, he would naturally arrive at the scene faster than the Life Foundation personnel and the police in the dense forest.
When he arrived, there was no one there except for the wreckage of the spaceship.
Without hesitation, Lock immediately went to the cockpit, grabbed the still-hot hatch, violently tore it off, and quickly crawled inside.
But when he entered the spaceship's cockpit, he found that two of the three pilots were dead, their faces purple and bloodless.
It was clearly drained of its life force by the symbiote.
The other empty driver's seat, needless to say, has been parasitized!
With this thought in mind, Lock's eyes glazed over, and he immediately rushed towards the spaceship laboratory deeper inside the spaceship.
Meanwhile, inside the spaceship's laboratory, a woman with an obviously abnormal complexion,d whose eyes occasionally flashed with an eerie silver glint, was loading the three symbiotes from the isolation chamber into three isolation tubes.
"My comrades, you will have to wait a little longer before you are free. The three lower life forms on the spaceship are not ideal hosts for us. Their combined life force is only enough for me to barely escape by parasitizing them..."
"But don't worry, I will guide you to find suitable hosts on this planet until you return to me in a new form. Then we will use Earth's technology to return to Klinta and bring all our compatriots back..."
Faced with the leader's riotous act of hoarding food, the other three symbiotes naturally dared not say anything and could only obediently enter the isolation tube.
The woman, possessed by riots, smiled with satisfaction and was about to leave with her people when she suddenly felt her hands go empty!
Looking down, I realized that the three isolation tubes that were just in my hand had vanished without a trace!
Lock, hanging upside down from the cabin ceiling and holding three isolation tubes, waved to the rioters below:
"Welcome to Earth, alien friend! Oh, you even brought me a New Year's gift, so I'll accept it without hesitation..."
