As the cry begun again, she grabbed my wrist, pulled me in then kissed me on cheek. I felt a tingle sensation affect my emotionless mood. "It's the old woman screaming, the woman you last saw in the village. We shouldn't help her," Shiro stuttered. My face was burning up, I was feeling like a red tomato. I looked sideways opposite from her and saw a lamb. A lamb soaked in dry blood and damp wool. "Irie, I was searching for you," Shiro exclaimed. She let go of my hand and sprinted to the lamb named Irie, having excitement and relief shown all over her face. I stood there as my stomach churned. I crouched, I was feeling empty, paranoid, and emotionless. An emotion that I've felt a million times, something that must be wasted forever but can't be. I stood up and ran to Shiro, grabbing her by the wrist. She turned around and stared at me in confusion. "Don't go…," I murmured. I confessed it, something I wasn't expecting to say to the person I pretend empathy towards, then she looked at me feeling sorry, her eyes rotated to the lamb. "Sorry," Shiro spoke, and walked to Irie slowly. My eyes widened. I smiled at her uncomfortably as she hugged the lamb with care and love. I ran away from them with the understand of betrayal. No tears, but a wide, fake smile that anyone could believe was real. "REN, COME BACK," a harsh but delicate voice echoed through the forest. Instead of listening, I kept running forward until I reached the end in a never-ending forest. I ran forward, sprinting towards the dark. My feet stopped then I continued walking in the darkness step by step, hoping to be dead by the time I meet Shiro again…
My ear picked up light footsteps coming closer from behind me, I didn't bother turning around, so 'it' tapped me. I hesitated. "Life has down and ups… you cannot hide", Shiro giggled in a fun yet creepy tone, where it will be impossible for me to escape. I gave up fast; I turned around closing my eyes waiting to be slaughtered. But there was silence… dead silence. I couldn't hear a footstep, other than my breathing. I slowly peaked my eyes open and saw Shiro and her lamb. I backed away, looking sincerely afraid. Fate wasn't on my side, "I'd rather be with my anti-social mother…than be with her." I stared at Irie, it stared back, I stared at it harder, then it looked away. I saw it, the trees bloomed upwards faster than two blinks of an eye. "My chance to perfectly die in aching pain," I thought.
