Chapter 4 - the day everything almost ended

When I was seventeen, my mother became very sick. The doctor said she needed treatment we could not afford.

For the first time in my life, I felt completely helpless.

I prayed every night.

Not for money.

Not for success.

Just for one more chance for my mother to live.

I worked small jobs everywhere—washing cars, carrying goods at the market, cleaning shops.

Slowly, little by little, we gathered enough money for her treatment.

The day she came back home from the hospital, she held my hand and said something I will never forget:

"You are stronger than the life that tried to defeat you."
