Chapter 72 - 72: The Sovereign’s Decree and the Gathering of the Seven Thrones

The retreat of Lilith, the Primeval Origin, had left the Himalayan valley in a state of unnatural grace. Inside the diamond-dome of the Sovereign's Sanctuary, the laws of the universe were being rewritten. The grass was no longer green; it was a vibrant, pulsating gold. The river didn't just flow; it sang with the frequency of ancient creation. Every breath Aiden took was now amplified by the Soul-Ring, radiating a pressure so immense that even the air molecules seemed to bow in his presence.

Aiden stood at the center of the Forbidden Ridge, his Sovereign Armor reflecting the setting sun of two different dimensions. Behind him stood Arthur and Selene, the parents who had provided the blood and salt for his ascension. Beside him, Ananya, the Princess of Pari-Lok, looked at her husband with a mixture of pride and a lingering shadow of fear. She knew that the war with the 'First Ones' had only just begun.

"The Kings are waiting, Aiden," Ananya whispered, her voice a soft melody against the low hum of the Sanctuary.

Aiden looked down the ridge. The Seven Kings of the Realms—Time, Metal, Spirit, Illusion, Gravity, Light, and the Void—were standing in a perfect circle. They were the supreme rulers of their respective dimensions, beings who had lived for eons, yet here they stood, silent and motionless, like common soldiers waiting for their General's command.

The Sovereign's Assembly

Aiden descended the ridge, each step sending ripples of violet energy through the earth. He didn't use his wings; he walked with the slow, deliberate pace of a man who knew the value of every inch of ground he had earned. As he reached the circle, the King of Time—the oldest among them—stepped forward and knelt.

"We witnessed the refusal of the Primeval Mother," the King of Time spoke, his voice sounding like the grinding of tectonic plates. "You have anchored a reality that even the First Origin could not delete. By the laws of the Ancient Covenant, we, the Seven Thrones, recognize you as the High Sovereign of the United Realms."

One by one, the other six Kings knelt. It was a sight that would have shattered the mind of any ordinary mortal. The King of Metal, whose body was a mountain of living iron, and the Queen of Light, whose eyes were twin pulsars, all bowed their heads to the son of a Porter.

"Stand up," Aiden commanded, his voice carrying the 10,000,000x Multiplier.

The Kings stood, but they could not look him in the eye. The pressure of the Soul-Ring was too great.

"I didn't defend this valley to become your master," Aiden said, his gaze sweeping across the divine assembly. "I defended it because it's my home. But Lilith spoke of the 'Ancestral Graveyard' and the 'Great Deletion'. If my home is an island in a sea of nothingness, then I haven't won. I've only delayed the end. I want to know what she meant."

The Forbidden History of the First Ones

The King of Spirit, a translucent being made of blue flame, stepped forward. "High Sovereign, there are records in the Spirit Archive that were sealed by the Architect himself. They speak of the 'First Era'—a time before the System, before the Multipliers. It was a time of raw, chaotic creation. Lilith and her kin, the First Ones, were the 'Drafts' of the universe. They were powerful beyond measure, but they lacked one thing: Structure."

"The Architect betrayed them," the King of Metal added. "He used their essence to build the 'System', turning their chaotic power into code and multipliers. He imprisoned them in the Ancestral Graveyard, a dimension outside of time and space. But now that the System is broken... now that YOU have broken the logic of the Architect... the prison is leaking."

Aiden looked at his Soul-Ring. The violet diamond was spinning slowly, processing the information. "So, by becoming too powerful, I've accidentally opened the door for the monsters the Architect was hiding?"

"In a way, yes," the King of Time replied. "Your 'Real Effort' is a beacon. It's the only thing that can bridge the gap between the Code and the Primal Chaos. To the First Ones, you are the ultimate prize. If they consume you, they will gain the structure they lack. They will become the New Architects, and the Seven Realms will be erased to make room for their chaos."

The Sovereign's Decree

Aiden turned to look at the Himalayan peaks. He saw the white tree, the symbol of his journey. He felt the weight of the Ring, and for a moment, he felt the old fatigue of a porter. But this time, he didn't want to put the bag down.

"The Seven Realms are no longer separate," Aiden declared, his voice echoing through the dimensions. "From this moment on, your armies are my armies. Your archives are my archives. We are building the Aegis of the Eight Realms. I will not wait for the First Ones to come to us. I will take the fight to the Graveyard."

The Kings gasped. To enter the Ancestral Graveyard was a death sentence. It was a place where multipliers didn't work, where mana was poisonous, and where 'Reality' was a shifting nightmare.

"You cannot go alone, High Sovereign," the Queen of Light said, her voice full of concern.

"I won't be alone," Aiden replied, looking at Ananya. "And I'm not going as a god. I'm going as a Porter. I'm going to carry the weight of all eight realms into the void and see if it can handle the pressure."

The Trial of the Void-Gate

To reach the Graveyard, Aiden needed to open the Void-Gate, a portal that required the synchronized power of all Seven Kings and the Soul-Ring. They moved to the center of the valley, under the shadow of the diamond dome.

The Kings began to chant. Seven pillars of light—gold, silver, blue, green, red, black, and violet—shot into the sky, meeting at a single point above the white tree. The air began to crack. The sound was like a scream of a thousand dying stars.

[Warning!]

Aiden stepped into the center of the pillars. The heat was beyond measurement. Any other being would have been vaporized instantly, but Aiden's 10,000,000x Multiplier on his 'Body Density' made him an immovable object.

"Ananya, stay here," Aiden said, his armor beginning to glow white-hot. "Protect my parents. If I don't return in three days, use the Ring's secondary pulse to seal the Earth forever."

"Don't talk like that, Aiden," Ananya said, her wings shielding her face from the blinding light. "You always come back. It's what you do."

Aiden smiled—a simple, human smile. He looked at Arthur and Selene one last time. Then, he turned and walked into the rift.

The Descent into the Ancestral Graveyard

The sensation was like being shredded and rebuilt a million times a second. Aiden felt his multipliers flickering. In the Graveyard, the 'System' was weak. He felt the old, cold weight of his physical body. For the first time in a long time, he felt Pain.

He landed on a surface that felt like powdered bone. The sky was a swirling vortex of grey smoke, and the horizon was littered with the ruins of civilizations that were never allowed to exist. This was the trash heap of the universe.

[Ding!]

[Location: The Ancestral Graveyard.]

[Warning: Multipliers restricted to 100x.]

[Status: You are now mortal.]

Aiden gritted his teeth. 100x? From 10,000,000x to 100x was a drop that would have paralyzed anyone else. But Aiden just tightened his grip on his father's old grey blade.

"100x is more than I had in the slums," he whispered to the grey fog.

Suddenly, the fog parted. Out of the shadows emerged a creature that looked like a distorted version of Aiden himself. It was a 'Void-Reflection', a being made of the potential he had discarded to stay human.

"Welcome home, Sovereign," the reflection hissed, its voice a perfect copy of Aiden's. "Here, your love is a weakness. Your family is a chain. Let us see how heavy your bag is when there is no one left to carry it for."

The Battle of the Soul

The reflection lunged. It didn't use a sword; it used a claw made of 'Regret'. Aiden blocked with his blade, but the impact sent him flying across the bone-dust plains. Without his massive multipliers, every hit felt real. Every bruise was deep.

Aiden stood up, spitting blood. He felt the Soul-Ring pulsing weakly on his finger. It was struggling to find a 'Fact' to anchor to in this world of shadows.

"You want to know how heavy my bag is?" Aiden shouted, charging back at the reflection. "It's heavy enough to crush a fake like you!"

The battle was brutal. It wasn't a battle of skills or levels; it was a street fight. Aiden used his fists, his knees, and his blade. He fought like the porter he was—relentless, stubborn, and refusing to stay down.

Finally, he managed to pin the reflection to a pillar of obsidian. He didn't kill it with magic. He looked it in the eyes and whispered, "I don't regret a single second of my life."

The reflection shrieked and dissolved into black mist. Aiden leaned against the pillar, his breath coming in ragged gasps. He had survived the first trial, but he could feel thousands of other eyes watching him from the fog.

The Cliffhanger: The Master of the Graveyard

Deep in the heart of the Graveyard, a throne made of 'Broken Promises' sat empty. But as Aiden took his first step toward the center of the realm, a figure appeared on the throne.

It was a man who looked exactly like Arthur, but his eyes were the same abyssal violet as Lilith's.

"You survived the reflection, grandson," the figure said, his voice echoing with a power that made Aiden's Soul-Ring turn ice-cold. "But can you survive the man who taught your father how to carry the first bag?"

Aiden's heart stopped. This wasn't a monster. This was the First Porter—the man who started the legacy of struggle, and the one who had been waiting for the Sovereign to return to the source.

The war for the soul of the universe had moved from the mountains to the very beginning of the bloodline.
