Chapter 10 - Hiroshi Nakamura

An important call and the appearance of the fiancé After the heated confrontation between Abdo and the girls, the situation in the company was tense. Abdo was busy at work, trying to focus on new programming projects, but he couldn't stop thinking about May and what she told him about her arranged marriage. The Important Call One day, while Abdo was sitting in his office, he received an unexpected phone call. The speaker on the other end was Mai's father, Hitoshi Nakamura. "Hello, Abdo. How are you?" Hitoshi began to speak, but his tone was more formal than usual. "Hello, Mr. Nakamura. I'm fine, thank you. How are you?" Abdo replied anxiously, feeling that he had something important to say. "I want to talk to you about May. You know, we're planning on her marriage. But I feel like there's something that hasn't been said yet. There's clearly some connection between you two, and I want to know how you feel about that." Abdo hesitated for a moment, he did not expect May's father to talk to him like this. "I see, Mr. Nakamura. Mai is a special person, and I have a lot of respect for her. But I don't want to interfere in her life or her family's decisions." "But do you think she will be happy with this arranged marriage?" Hitoshi asked. Abdo felt the pressure of responsibility, but answered honestly: "If May feels obligated to marry, I can't do anything about it. But if she has feelings for me, I encourage her to think about what she really wants." Al-Khatib appeared after the call ended. It was not long before Abdo received an unexpected visit in his office. It was a young man he had known for a long time, who was May's arranged suitor. The young man, who introduced himself as Ryo, entered with a confident smile. "Hello, Abdo. I heard a lot about you from May. It's a pleasure to meet you personally." Ryo's tone was confident, but Abdo couldn't hide his worry. "Hello, Ryo. Nice to meet you." Abdo responded coldly, trying to maintain his calm. "Mai told me a lot about you and your projects. You seem to be having great success in your work. I think you two had a close working relationship, right?" Ryo said in a tone that was trying to be friendly, but with a sense of challenge in it. Abdo realizes that Ryo is trying to test him. "Yes, we've worked on some projects together. She's really talented." Ryo didn't back down, he continued, "I just wanted to tell you that I intend to make Mai happy. I think she needs someone who can provide stability and security." Abdo felt very worried. He did not want to cause more tension between him and May, but he could not ignore the feelings that began to grow inside him. "I appreciate it, Ryo. I wish you both well." Abdo said, although he was concerned that it might be an attempt by Ryo to show his dominance. The Next Confrontation While Abdo was feeling the increasing pressure, he returned to his office after finishing the conversation with Ryo, but things were not over yet. Yuki, Sakura, and Nora were wandering the halls, and rumors about Mai's fiancé began to spread quickly. The next day, the four girls decide to meet again. The atmosphere was tense, and the girls looked worried about what had happened. "I heard that the fiancé has come to talk to his slave. Does that mean that Mai has already made her decision?" Nora said anxiously. "Things seem to be getting worse. We have to do something!" Yuki said, feeling increasingly jealous. "But what can we do?" asked Sakura, who was feeling trapped between the girls and her own thoughts. Temporary Conclusion Abdo now faces a major dilemma, as tensions increase between him and the girls, and it seems that May's arranged marriage is getting closer for real. Things are about to escalate significantly, and with the appearance of Al-Khatib, the pressure on everyone has increased. Will Abdo be able to explain his feelings and what he really wants? Or will things turn toward a greater emotional crisis as pressure continues from all sides? All these questions remain unanswered, which makes things even more complicated and interesting.

Memories emerge between Mai and Ryo and a challenge between him and Abdo. After Abdo met Ryo, the latter began to appear more in Mai's life, and some old memories between them returned to the surface. Mai and Ryo had known each other years ago in Japan, when they were children. Their relationship was childish at first, but over time, a friendly relationship began to grow between them. Ryo has always been an ambitious young man, seeking success and expanding his family's businesses. One day, they had talked about their dreams and their common future, but things took a different turn after Mai left Japan and became busy with her studies. Ryo was unable to forget Mai, and when her father decided to bring back the idea of an arranged marriage, he felt this was the golden opportunity for them to get back together. But he knew there was someone else standing in his way: Abdo. The challenge between Ryo and Abdo After Ryo visits Abdo in his office, it becomes clear that tension between the two is rising. Abdo felt that Ryo was not showing sincere feelings towards Mai, and that he was treating the idea of marriage as if it were a business deal. On the other hand, Ryo felt that his servant might disrupt his plans, even though he did not openly show any hostility towards him. At one of the social events attended by everyone, the challenge was clearly evident when Abdo and Rio entered into a heated conversation. Ryo said with a faint smile: "Abdo, I believe that life is not only about projects. Sometimes, you have to know when the priorities are family." Abdo replied calmly: "Sure. But family is not something that can be imposed or arranged like work. It is about choice and love." Here, Ryo showed his competitive side and said, "And do you really think you have enough time to think about all these things? You're too busy with your company, while I can give Mai the stability she deserves." Abdo felt the pressure, but he remained silent for a moment, trying to assess the situation. Although his words indicated that he was ready to compete, inside Abdo began to feel hesitant about these relationships. Abdo discovered his true feelings. Over time, Abdo began to sink into thought. Everything happening around him was making him feel distracted, whether it was Mai, Yuki, Sakura, or Nora. The emotional pressures he was exposed to made him discover something that was not clear to him before: perhaps he himself did not want to get married or enter into a romantic relationship right now. Abdo realized that he was being carried away by the feelings and expectations of others, without taking the time to think about what he wanted for himself. He felt suffocated by the mounting expectations, both from Mai who carried memories of her past with Ryo, and from the other girls who were vying for his affections. One day, after a long day at work, Abdo sat down and thought about everything he had been through. He said in a quiet voice to himself, "Is this what I really want? Do I want to get married and get into this emotional spiral? Or do I need time to myself and focus on my career?" He realized he needed a break from all the complications. He decided that he would talk to everyone clearly and frankly, and tell them that he was not ready to enter into any relationship at the moment, and would focus on himself and his goals. Temporary Conclusion After this discovery, Abdo felt a sense of relief. He decided to start talking to the girls, and clearly explain his true feelings to them. This probably wouldn't be the ending the girls were expecting, but Abdo knew now that he needed some time to think about his future before he made any big emotional moves. Mai, in turn, begins to review her memories with Ryo, asking herself if this arranged relationship is really what she wants, or if she deserves to search for something more honest with her feelings.
