Chapter 58 - Chapter 57 It turns out that we are one

Time flowed slowly in anticipation; for Leon Odinson, it was merely the leisure of savoring a fine wine.

He was not impatient, like an experienced chess player who, after making a move, leisurely observes his opponent's struggles on the board.

He knew clearly that once a truth was sown, it would inevitably take root and sprout.

The atmosphere in the suite seemed somewhat harmonious.

Bruce Banner was undergoing an internal transformation.

He sat cross-legged on the soft carpet, eyes closed, with a faint green glow occasionally flowing beneath his skin, as if breathing.

The power that once kept him restless was now incredibly docile.

Indeed, the Hulk's power was entrenched deep within his consciousness, quietly awaiting his command.

This was a feeling he had never experienced before.

In the past, the Hulk was his prisoner, and also his jailer.

They hated each other, tore at each other, and every transformation was a painful war.

But now, under the guidance of Leon Odinson's divine power, the barrier between him and the Hulk was slowly melting.

He no longer viewed the Hulk as a curse, but began to try to understand the power contained within the Hulk's anger.

He could feel every heartbeat, every breath of the Hulk, and even the loneliness hidden beneath the Hulk's anger.

This feeling was wonderful, causing Banner's brain, accustomed to logical thinking, to begin examining the other existence within him from an emotional perspective.

"It turns out we were one all along."

Banner revealed a relieved smile.

He exchanged his fear of the Hulk for his allegiance to Leon Odinson.

But this deal, it seemed, was not a loss.

At least now, he felt the possibility of controlling his own destiny.

Leon Odinson leaned back on the sofa, propping his chin with one hand, calmly observing Banner's changes.

The Hulk's power was strong, but in his opinion, it was still crude.

Like an unpolished raw stone, it possessed a hard texture but lacked any aesthetic beauty.

And what he had to do was polish this raw stone.

A Hulk that only knew destruction had limited value.

But a Hulk guided by Bruce Banner's wisdom and absolutely loyal to himself, that would be an existence capable of making the Universe tremble.

After all, the Hulk was not just a simple green giant; behind him was OBA, the Master of Gamma Hell.

As a transmigrator, Leon Odinson's perspective was different from everyone else in this World.

He viewed these superheroes and supervillains more like reading a storybook where he already knew the ending.

He knew everyone's weaknesses, everyone's struggles, and their ultimate destinies.

This omniscient feeling gave him a sense of control.

He disliked the original script; there were too many coincidences, sacrifices, and unnecessary sentimentality.

In his opinion, it was a terrible story.

Therefore, he would personally take up the pen and rewrite everything.

The Eternal?

They were merely the first batch of characters he needed to correct.

A group of puppets with powerful abilities, yet unable to control their own destinies, was truly a waste.

He wanted to shatter their false beliefs, make them see their pathetic situation, and then bestow upon them an object of loyalty.

That was him, Leon Odinson.

Sunlight filtered through the floor-to-ceiling windows, casting a sacred halo upon him.

He picked up the wine glass on the table and gently swirled it, the liquid rotating within the glass.

Suddenly, his motion of swirling the glass paused slightly.

He raised his head, his golden eyes piercing through the hotel walls, through the thick clouds of London, and gazed towards the other side of the Earth.

In his perception, the Eternal were converging from various corners of the World towards the same coordinate.

South Dakota.

"Quite fast," Leon Odinson became interested.

"It seems the fish have begun to gather."

He put down the wine glass and stood up from the sofa.

"Bruce."

Banner, who was in meditation, suddenly opened his eyes, a green light flashing and then disappearing, as he regained full consciousness.

He could feel that he had truly become stronger.

"It seems our vacation has to end early," Leon Odinson turned around, a gentle smile on his face.

"Let's go, meet your new colleagues."

Banner nodded, stood up from the carpet, and stretched his somewhat stiff body.

He was ready, no matter what situation he faced.

Leon Odinson looked at him with satisfaction, then he gently snapped his fingers.

"Snap."

After the crisp sound, the two figures instantly transformed into brilliant golden light, disappearing into the London skyline... U.S., South Dakota.

On a boundless wilderness, a solitary wooden house stood quietly, as if forgotten by the World.

This was the temporary residence of Ajak, the leader of the Eternal on Earth.

But today, this tranquility was broken.

Several figures converged here from all over the World.

Sersi and Water were the first to arrive.

Their figures, enveloped in cosmic energy, appeared in front of the wooden house.

Sersi's face was still pale, but the confusion in her eyes had been replaced by determination.

Water was like an enraged cat, exuding an aura that warned others to keep their distance.

Immediately after, a luxurious private jet landed nearby.

Bollywood superstar Kingo, accompanied by his cameraman assistant Karun, and surrounded by a group of bodyguards, disembarked.

Kingo wore a commercial smile, but the deep solemnity in his eyes could not be hidden.

"My God, Sersi, are you sure you're not joking?" Kingo dramatically spread his hands as soon as he saw Sersi.

"I still have several announcements and charity galas! Do you know how precious my time is? It's hundreds of thousands per second!"

His assistant, Karun, faithfully held the camera, recording everything.

In his lens, this might be the beginning of an epic documentary.

"Kingo, this is not a joke," Sersi's voice was grave.

As soon as her voice fell, two sounds of breaking air came from the sky.

Two figures landed heavily on the ground, one after the other.

Walking in front was the strongest warrior among the Eternal, Ikaris.

He wore a dark blue battle suit, his expression serious, his eyes sharp.

He glanced at Sersi and Water, his brow slightly furrowed, seemingly displeased with this emergency summons.

Following behind him were Gilgamesh and Tina.

Gilgamesh was burly, with a simple and honest smile on his face.

He carefully supported Tina beside him.

Tina's face was still beautiful, but her eyes were somewhat unfocused; her Mahd Wy'ry seemed to show signs of instability again.

"Sersi, what exactly happened?" Ikaris's voice was low.

"You'd better have a reasonable explanation."

His gaze swept over everyone, carrying a natural leadership aura.

He was the most loyal warrior among the Eternal; he always executed the commands of Arishem the Judge without question.

In his view, any action that disrupted the plan was unforgivable.

Sersi took a deep breath, looking at these companions with whom she had spent seven millennia, her emotions extremely complex.

She knew that the words she was about to utter would overturn their understanding.

"The Deviants are back," she spoke with difficulty.

A single stone stirred up a thousand ripples.

"What?!" Kingo's smile froze on his face.

"Impossible! We wiped them out centuries ago!"

Ikaris's eyes also sharpened: "Where? How many?"

"In London, the Natural History Museum," Sersi continued to narrate.

"Only one, but it's more powerful than any we've encountered before."

"Then what? Did you resolve it?" Ikaris pressed.

"No," Sersi shook her head, a bitter expression on her face.

"Someone else resolved it."
