Tony's attention was drawn.
He clicked on the file marked as special.
The next second, his breath hitched.
On the screen was a brief but turbulent energy fluctuation graph.
It didn't obey the laws of thermodynamics; it was tampering with quantum structures out of thin air!
"What the hell is this?!" Tony frowned, forgetting his sarcasm.
"This is impossible! This energy signature! It's rewriting reality?! Jarvis! Zoom in on the data model for the area! No! No! Recalculate! Is this magic?!"
At the other end of the lab, Banner also came over.
"Tony, this isn't physics..." Banner's tone was grave.
"god!"
Adam also walked over, and he saw the location of the energy burst.
"Sokovia."
He spoke the place name.
His gaze shot towards Leon on the screen, a look of solemnity flashing in his eyes.
"You took two children with this power from Sokovia?!"
Leon finally put away his smile.
He met their gazes, which were either shocked, awed, or solemn.
"magic, science. It doesn't matter what you call it, Dr." He first looked at Banner.
"To me, this is just power. And power needs to be guided correctly."
Then, he looked at Adam, his tone authoritative.
"They are children, yes. But they are poor people living in ruins."
"I didn't take them, Adam Bernard."
"I gave them a purpose. A future."
Leon smiled slightly, but the smile made Tony shiver.
"And, I gave them a Villa and a beach."
Tony's eyes instantly widened.
"You put them in my Villa?! That's my house!!!"
"It's not yours anymore, Tony." Leon's tone was matter-of-fact.
"And, quiet down." Leon's tone was unchallengeable.
"Compared to your little house, what we are discussing now is something more important."
Tony choked.
He opened his mouth, and finally just huffed in displeasure.
"I'm assembling a team, gentlemen."
Leon looked at the three, his tone solemn.
"The most powerful team ever assembled."
His gaze swept over the three of them one by one.
"You, Tony. You are the brains of the team, my chief engineer, you are responsible for solving all technical problems."
"You, Banner. You are the Beast." Leon's smile was playful.
"A Beast with unlimited power."
"And you, Adam." Leon looked at Blue Marvel.
"You are the super combat power alongside Hulk!"
The three fell silent.
How arrogant these words were.
But they found that they couldn't refute them.
Because, it was the truth.
In front of Leon, they were indeed just such roles.
"As for my two new students..." Leon continued.
"They will be my assassin and my ace."
"Tony, Banner," he gave the order.
"Tomorrow morning, I want to see a complete analysis report, ability assessment, and training plan for these two new data sets."
"So..." Leon smiled slightly.
"Good night, gentlemen. Work hard, don't disappoint me. I always expect high returns."
"Snap."
The holographic projection turned off.
In the laboratory, a deathly silence fell.
After a long while.
"Fuck."
Tony cursed under his breath.
But after he cursed, he perked up again.
"Jarvis! Mobilize all computing power! All of it! Including the underground backup cluster! Postpone Pepper's charity gala! No, postpone all meetings this month!"
He spoke so fast it was like he was rapping.
"Chief engineer?! He really dares to say that! What does he take us for?!"
He complained, but his movements were so fast they left afterimages.
"Damn it, this data is too beautiful, it's practically the source code of the Universe! He just threw it at me like this?! Isn't he afraid I'll..."
Tony's movements paused.
"He's not afraid."
Leon's calm eyes flashed through his mind.
"Of course he's not afraid! Because he knows I can't refuse! He knows my damn curiosity!"
Suddenly, Tony laughed.
"Very good, I accept this challenge! Jarvis! Heat up the coffee! No one is sleeping tonight!"
Banner tiredly took off his glasses, rubbing his aching temples.
"Beast, he called me Beast."
"Perhaps, I always was."
He looked at the fanatical Tony and gave a wry smile.
"It seems tonight will be another sleepless night. But, a plan? Maybe I can find some new ideas from this data?"
He put on his glasses, and a fire also ignited in his eyes.
Only Adam remained standing by the window.
He looked at Tony's frantic figure reflected in the glass, and Banner's rekindled fighting spirit in profile.
He slowly clenched his fists.
"Assassin, ace."
"He's gathering a team. Just like he's gathering weapons to destroy the World."
Adam closed his eyes.
"And I am the Ghost, the combat power."
"For Kevin, for the children. I'll take this job."
He turned around, interrupting Tony's fervor.
"Stark."
"What?!" Tony didn't even turn his head.
"If that girl can really rewrite reality, then she is the highest combat power among all of us."
"Of course, do you even need to say that?!"
"So." Adam walked over to him, his gaze fixed on the data.
"Your plan had better be foolproof."
"Because, if she loses control..." Adam's tone was serious.
"Mr. Leon's team will have to be activated."
...The Villa in Malibu.
Leon had just poured himself a drink, preparing to... "Hmm?"
His brow furrowed again.
"It's endless."
He sensed that because of Wanda's Chaos Magic leaking out, something else had been attracted again.
"Jarvis."
"Sir?"
"It seems the Villa's security system really needs an upgrade."
Before he finished speaking.
The space above the living room carpet began to ripple like Water.
Sticky, dark Shadow seeped out from the distorted space, dripping onto the floor with a sizzling, corrosive sound.
The air was filled with the nauseating stench of sulfur and decay.
A figure covered in dark blue scales, with bat wings on its back and bone spurs on its face, squeezed out from the Shadow.
Blackheart.
"Chaos! It's the aura of Chaos Magic!"
Blackheart greedily sniffed the air, his eyes gleaming with ecstasy.
"That old bastard father! Last time a clone was lost, now it's my turn!"
"As long as I can seize the source of Chaos! I can overthrow him!!!"
"Mortal! Hand over..."
His voice had just sounded.
"Snap."
A crisp snapping sound.
Leon didn't turn around, impatiently snapping his fingers.
"Buzz!!!"
A golden domain instantly expanded with Leon at its center!
"Ah?!"
Blackheart's arrogant smile froze.
His body sizzled the moment it touched the golden Sun!
The Hellfire within him was extinguishing!
"What is this?! No! This isn't the holy light of Heaven!!"
Blackheart shrieked in terror.
He felt himself being purified!
