Chapter 14: The Path of Diamonds
As the shadow shattered, the entire Labyrinth transformed. The cold, dark crystals were now glowing like stars, and the silence was replaced by a beautiful, ringing melody. The Sky-Skipper didn't just move; it surged forward, guided by the brilliant light of the silver key.
"You did it, Rohan!" Pip cheered, his blue fur standing on end from the magical energy. "You faced the truth, and now the Labyrinth has no power over you. Look ahead!"
At the end of the tunnel of diamonds, a tiny speck of pure white light appeared. It grew larger and larger until it filled their entire vision. With a sudden whoosh, the Sky-Skipper shot out of the stone maze and back into the open air of Aetheria.
But they weren't in the clouds anymore. They were floating above a magnificent valley filled with glowing silver trees. In the center of the valley stood a palace made entirely of white marble and solid light.
"The Palace of Dawn," Pip whispered in awe. "We made it to the Queen's home."
However, the peace didn't last long. High above the palace, hundreds of dark streaks were descending from the sky. The Shadow King had anticipated their arrival. He wasn't just sending scouts anymore; he was sending his army.
"We have to get to the Queen before the palace gates are sealed!" Rohan shouted, steering the boat into a steep dive. "Hold on, Pip!"
