Chapter 48 - Chapter 48: The Calculations of God-King Tang

"Since you have come to Shrek Academy, you must absolutely obey the arrangements of the teachers. If you don't agree, pack your bags and leave. As for your request to prioritize those in the same dormitory, aren't Dai Huabin and Huo Yuhao in the same dormitory anyway?"

Zhou Yi stood with her head held high, arms crossed, looking down at Wang Dong'er with an unquestionable tone and demeanor.

"But I am a Power Attack System Soul Master, and you said yourself that academy regulations state a small team can only have one Power Attack System Soul Master," Wang Dong'er argued, unwilling to give up.

"If I say you are Power Attack, then you are Power Attack. If I say you aren't, then you aren't. If you don't want to team up with Dai Huabin and Huo Yuhao, then pack your bags and get lost as early as possible."

Zhou Yi didn't even bother to keep up appearances anymore.

"You..."

Looking at the unreasonable old woman before her, Wang Dong'er felt an immense sense of grievance in her heart. In the past, she simply thought the woman was strict, nothing more.

Now she finally understood why Feng Piaoling felt such a strong aversion to this dead hag—going so far as to humiliate her in public and refuse her recruitment. It turned out she was a selfish, arrogant individual who would use any means necessary just for the sake of graduation rates and grades.

Don't think she didn't know what the woman was plotting. It was nothing more than seeing the massive auxiliary and control potential of Huo Yuhao's Spiritual Detection and Spiritual Shock skills.

Over the past three months, the woman had shown favoritism toward Huo Yuhao more than once or twice. She had even made him—a possessor of a Body Martial Soul with two white ten-year soul rings—the class monitor. She had used the threat of expulsion to forcibly suppress the original monitor, Dai Huabin.

If she and Dai Huabin, the two strongest battle soul masters in Class One, teamed up with Huo Yuhao, their chances of victory would be nearly certain—as long as they didn't run into that freak Feng Piaoling.

"Forget it, Dong'er. It's not worth getting expelled over this," Xiao Xiao, sitting next to Wang Dong'er, whispered in persuasion.

Dai Huabin, not far away, also added, "That's right, Dong—Student Wang Dong'er, it's not worth being expelled over such a small matter."

Compared to the start of the semester, Dai Huabin had undergone a world-shaking change. This change was none other than his attitude toward Huo Yuhao.

At first, when the two were assigned to the same dormitory, Dai Huabin would punch and kick Huo Yuhao at the slightest provocation for two and a half months. But for some unknown reason, a change had suddenly occurred recently.

Well, as for how to describe this change specifically, he couldn't put it into words. It was as if a person whose Martial Soul was being led had encountered the one leading it. He hadn't even kicked up a fuss when the position of class monitor was taken by Huo Yuhao.

And facing this Dai Huabin who had changed so much, what did Huo Yuhao do? Naturally, he forgave him. After all, the other was his half-brother.

Since he could treat him so well and stop hitting him even without knowing they were brothers, shouldn't he forgive him quickly?

Seeing Dai Huabin speak up, Huo Yuhao followed suit. "Student Wang Dong'er, I know you might have some misunderstanding regarding me, but we are all students of Class One. We are a collective, and we must fight for the honor of Class One."

The students of Class One who had remained until now were basically those who had been tamed by Zhou Yi. Hearing these words, the other students also began to chime in with their persuasions.

Wang Dong'er was, in the end, just an eleven-year-old girl. Facing the persuasion of the entire class and Zhou Yi's threats, no matter how dissatisfied she was, she could only comply.

The God Realm, a magnificent palace shrouded in mist.

A figure stood quietly amidst the clouds, gazing into the endless distance, looking at something unknown. He had long, water-blue hair that fell like a waterfall. From head to toe, his stature was majestic, with broad shoulders and a powerful build. He looked to be only in his twenties, with deep eyes that occasionally flickered with a purple glint.

This person was none other than Tang San.

A day in heaven is a year on earth. From the moment he split his daughter Tang Wutong's soul into three and sent her down to the Douluo Continent until now, over three months had passed there, but only three hours had elapsed in the God Realm. For Tang San, this wasn't even enough time to complete a single patrol of the realm.

Originally, according to his scheme, he intended for the only two remaining disciples of the Tang Sect, Tang Ya and Bei Bei, to "accidentally" encounter the Child of Destiny. He would then use the redacted version of the Mysterious Heaven Technique he left on the Douluo Continent to implant psychological suggestions in Tang Ya during her cultivation.

He would make her invite Huo Yuhao to join the Tang Sect and enroll in Shrek. At the same time, he would have one-third of his daughter's soul control her body. Under the identity of the Young Sect Master of the Clear Sky School, she would disguise herself as a boy, head to Shrek Academy, and be assigned to the same dormitory as the Child of Destiny. This would create an intersection, allowing him to put a dog collar on the boy step-by-step until he became a loyal dog of the Tang family.

The other two parts of the soul were split: one remained in his hand, and the other was hidden within Wang Dong's body. This served as a double insurance to prevent his daughter from falling in love with someone else or helping Huo Yuhao resist him out of love.

At the same time, it would allow Wang Dong and the Child of Destiny to perform a Martial Soul Fusion. During the fusion of souls, the sleeping third of the soul would be transferred into the Child of Destiny's body.

To this end, Tang San had specifically tampered with Huo Yuhao. As long as the first person he encountered possessed a Light-attribute Martial Soul, it would achieve a 100% compatibility with his own. This would result in the birth of a Martial Soul Fusion skill.

The destiny of the Emperor Auspicious Beast, the Three-Eyed Golden Ni, in the Star Dou Great Forest was closely linked to the destiny of Douluo Continent's Child of Destiny, Huo Yuhao. The two were bound to meet sooner or later.

Although he didn't know exactly how the two would connect their destinies, as long as they were linked, that third of a soul transferred into Huo Yuhao would enter the body of the Auspicious Beast. This would gradually give rise to a consciousness, causing the Auspicious Beast to take human form and fall in love with Huo Yuhao.

The rest would be simple: arrange for Huo Yuhao to be in mortal danger and induce the Auspicious Beast to sacrifice herself. Such a thing had already been done twice by his father, Tang Hao, and one of those times it was even used on him. It was incredibly easy.

That third of his daughter's soul, after the Auspicious Beast's transformation, would carry half of the beast's destiny and the Golden Dragon Spear back into Wang Dong's body, swallowing Wang Dong's soul. This would further domesticate Huo Yuhao, placing a new layer of shackles upon him.

Finally, he would use the last portion of the soul in his hand—the one containing all of his daughter's memories—to "reap the fruit." By devouring the newborn soul that had swallowed Wang Dong's soul, he would complete the third stage of dog training.

With everything interlocking, wouldn't the Child of Destiny inevitably become the Tang family's—and his, Tang San's—most loyal dog? Even the Douluo Continent's planar consciousness, which sought to save itself from being swallowed by his father Tang Hao by birthing a Child of Destiny, would lose its final chance at a turnaround. Ultimately, the Douluo Continent would completely become the Tang Sect's backyard.

He never imagined that upon returning from his patrol to consolidate his power and fulfill his duties as the Law Enforcement God, though Huo Yuhao had indeed been pulled into the Tang Sect, Wang Dong had—for some reason—revealed her female identity.
