Chapter 118 - Chapter 118: Black Zetsu: No!

Raindrops fell upon the orange giant, instantly vaporized by the Chakra swirling around its body, rising as white mist.

Shinji slowly raised his right hand, lightning suddenly flickering in his palm.

He manipulated the Chidori, wrapping Lightning Attribute Chakra around the longsword of the Susanoo.

The half-bodied orange giant held the longsword horizontally before it, the blade erupting with a piercing pale blue-white light. Electric currents wildly shot out, blasting charred pits into the surrounding earth.

Shinji clenched his teeth. This was his second time activating the Susanoo. Despite the excruciating pain, he could barely manage to control it.

His gaze fixed intently on Obito and Black Zetsu in the distance.

The Susanoo gripped the sword hilt tightly with both hands and, carrying a violent Lightning Release, swung it horizontally towards the two with tremendous force.

The slash transformed into a thunderous blade of lightning that spanned heaven and earth, crashing down towards the heart of the valley.

In an instant, the lightning surged, engulfing the entire area.

A large-scale Lightning Release exploded violently, dense bolts of lightning ravaging the entire valley.

Hard rocks directly shattered and vaporized within the lightning. The ground was blasted with countless deep craters. The steep cliff walls on both sides collapsed layer by layer, then were violently scattered by the raging electric currents.

Obito's pupils constricted sharply. Not daring to take this attack head-on, he unleashed Kamui without reservation. His body instantly became intangible, half-submerged into the Alternate Dimension.

The lightning passed straight through his form.

Black Zetsu urgently activated Amaterasu, spreading a barrier of black flames before him, firmly shielding himself behind it.

Lightning and black fire collided violently. The surrounding rainwater instantly vaporized into a mist of steam. The black flames were constantly scattered by the lightning, only to be frantically replenished by Black Zetsu's efforts.

He overdrew Fugaku's Ocular Power, stubbornly withstanding this wave of large-scale bombardment.

As the lightning dissipated, the entire valley was left unrecognizable. Only the figure of the half-giant wielding its sword stood firm at the valley's center.

Shinji expressionlessly watched Obito and Black Zetsu, who had stubbornly endured this attack. The half-bodied giant raised its lightning-wreathed longsword once more and swung it down without hesitation.

One slash followed another, the onslaught sweeping across the entire area like a torrential downpour. Shattered earth and stone interwove with the lingering waves of the thunderstorm, all surging towards Obito and Black Zetsu.

The earth trembled violently, rubble tumbling down from the cliff walls on both sides.

Inside the Susanoo, Yahiko and Konan stared at the world-destroying spectacle before them, their faces filled with shock.

They had never imagined that battles between ninja could unleash such terrifying destructive power.

With this level of strength, even if ten more members of the Akatsuki Organization like them were to come, it wouldn't be enough for Shinji alone to annihilate.

Yahiko looked at Shinji, who was fighting calmly before him, and a sense of powerlessness welled up in his heart.

If I possessed such power, at least I wouldn't be so helpless, forced to merely watch from the sidelines. At least I could protect Nagato and Konan.

He lowered his head, a trace of desolation flickering across his face.

Due to his experiences in the wars of his childhood, he had vowed to protect the villagers and take in orphans. He had always believed that those who had truly experienced the same pain would eventually come to understand each other.

He had also always thought that with enough effort, understanding and peace could be achieved.

But now he realized he was wrong.

He lacked the most crucial thing: power.

Yahiko clenched his fists tightly, his gaze suddenly firm.

Perhaps it was time for their Akatsuki Organization to make some changes in its future direction.

On the other side, facing Shinji's relentless large-scale onslaught without any gaps,

Obito could only frantically activate Kamui, continuously using Intangibility to evade, not daring to pause for even a moment.

Against such dense, all-encompassing attacks, he had absolutely no room to dodge and could only maintain his Intangibility state.

But he knew clearly that his Intangibility could last at most five minutes.

Obito gasped heavily, raising a hand to cover his right eye, feeling the sharp stings brought by the rapid depletion of his Ocular Power.

Such a dense, seamless, and ceaseless bombardment was truly too troublesome.

Shinji also gritted his teeth tightly, raising both arms simultaneously to further strengthen his control over Susanoo.

The long blade danced wildly, thunder roared—he could no longer remember how long he had been maintaining this fierce assault.

He understood that he, Obito, and Black Zetsu were all holding on desperately.

This battle had already devolved into a pure war of attrition, with neither side willing to retreat.

Whoever faltered first would be the one to fail.

Now, in this life-or-death desperate situation, he could no longer afford to worry about Fugaku's survival.

Black Zetsu was also gritting his teeth and holding on, using Amaterasu to construct a defensive line while inwardly sinking into anxiety and conflict.

He had never expected that this Uchiha junior before him would prove so tenacious. Hidden within him was a lethal trump card left by his mother, Kaguya Otsutsuki. If he could just create an opportunity to get close, he could easily finish off this brat.

But he absolutely could not waste this trump card here—it was a contingency he had reserved for Madara Uchiha.

He only hated that he was not a true shinobi. If he were, perhaps over these thousand years he would have found a way to seize control of the Rinnegan and begun collecting the Tailed Beasts.

He was an existence from the same era as Hagoromo and Hamura, yet now he was being pushed to such a state by a descendant of Indra.

Even with a millennium of patience and endurance, he could not help but seethe with hidden fury at this moment.

How dare this junior go so far!

Black Zetsu inwardly seethed, his gaze locked intently on Shinji, searching for an opening, waiting for a chance to deliver a heavy blow.

But just then, the body he was controlling suddenly stiffened.

Fugaku had actually regained consciousness at this moment, as if in a final surge of vitality, he wrested back control of his own body.

He blinked, looking at the devastated battlefield, a wave of extreme frustration welling up in his heart.

He was the current head of the Uchiha Clan, a man who aspired to become Hokage,

Yet on this mission to the Land of Rain, he had ended up in such a wretched state—outmaneuvered by Danzo and ambushed by the sinister shadow possessing his body.

An intense sense of humiliation and rage erupted violently. Human will could sometimes unleash unimaginable power.

Fugaku gritted his teeth, desperately resisting Black Zetsu's control, attempting to fully reclaim his body.

His powerful will allowed him to erupt with a final burst of fighting spirit.

"Not good!"

Black Zetsu realized with alarm that he could no longer control Fugaku. He frantically intensified his control, but could not even budge one of Fugaku's arms.

The battlefield changed in an instant. This sudden opening was precisely captured by Shinji.

A glint flashed in his eyes—he would absolutely not let go of this once-in-a-thousand-years opportunity.

Susanoo slowly raised its massive orange blade. The blade once again became wreathed in violent lightning. The long blade shot through the air, carrying a killing intent, aimed directly at Black Zetsu.

Black Zetsu's expression changed drastically. As a special life form, ordinary attacks had no effect on him.

But Mangekyō Ocular Power, Sage Arts, and Susanoo were among the few forces that could truly harm him.

Seeing that he could no longer use Fugaku's body to escape, Black Zetsu immediately planned to release his possession and flee alone.

But just as he was about to break free, Fugaku's Mangekyō Sharingan in both eyes suddenly sharpened.

He violently raised his left arm, firmly gripping the writhing black shadow on his right half, leaving Black Zetsu completely unable to struggle free.

Facing the massive Lightning blade slashing toward him, Fugaku showed not a trace of fear on his face, only a look of unwavering resolve.

The aura of death rushed toward him, and Black Zetsu's pupils contracted sharply, finally losing control and screaming in terror:
