Chapter 448: First Class Back on Earth?!
....
Risa Shiramine looked on with a completely baffled expression.
She had been staying at Kaede's house for the past few days. If Kaede's parents had truly wanted to invite Seito over for dinner, she naturally would have known about it. Yet, thinking back over the last few days, she couldn't recall hearing a single word about any family dinner.
Resting her chin on her hand, Risa pondered the situation. A moment later, a sudden realization hit her, and a deep flush spread across her cheeks.
"Looks like Kaede decided to keep him all to herself..." Risa muttered under her breath.
She never expected Kaede to be so bold! The sudden move had caught her entirely off guard. The rest of the group exchanged confused glances, completely unaware of Kaede's underlying motive, simply assuming her parents genuinely wanted to meet Seito.
God Domains... Earth.
Chiba City, A Certain Hotel Room.
Looking at Kaede resting beside him with her cheeks flushed, Seito felt slightly surprised. He hadn't expected Kaede to act so boldly—making a move like that right in front of everyone!
"Don't... don't stare at me like that~" Kaede said weakly, her face turning red as a beet.
"Alright, alright," Seito chuckled softly, pulling her gently into a warm embrace.
"Mmh~~" Kaede didn't say another word, knowing Seito was taking the initiative. She simply relaxed, dropping her usual "absolute defense" completely.
Time flew by.
In the blink of an eye, the next morning arrived.
Planet Pokémon, Kanto Region, Pallet Town.
Professor Oak's Research Laboratory.
Nyaruko was sipping tea, while Irisviel had taken Illya and Sakura outside to play with the local Pokémon. Accompanying them was Seito's newest partner, the Shiny Ralts.
"Finally finished feeding them all," Professor Oak said, stretching lazily as he walked through the front door after tending to the outdoor enclosures.
"Pokémon really are fascinating creatures," Nyaruko mused.
Born with innate affinity for one or two elemental attributes, these creatures naturally possessed a smooth pathway toward divine ascension—a massive inherent advantage over ordinary mortals. Because of this, reaching lower divine realms was actually much easier for Pokémon than for humans.
"Indeed," Professor Oak smiled, sitting down across from Nyaruko. As a thought crossed his mind, he asked: "Has Seito not returned yet?"
It had been a full day since Seito left, leaving Professor Oak somewhat concerned.
"Not yet," Nyaruko nodded.
"Is he going to be alright?"
"He'll be fine," Nyaruko shook her head reassuringly. She had already scanned Seito's energy signature earlier; he had smoothly eliminated the Main Gods of Darkness and Light and relocated the God-King Star Sector. He was entirely safe.
"I see," Professor Oak nodded, pouring himself a cup of water as he returned to his thoughts, while Nyaruko casually resumed observing the wild Pokémon roaming the lab grounds.
Chiba City, Earth.
After spending a quiet evening with Kaede, Seito woke up casually. Looking around the room, he noticed Kaede was already up. Without dallying, he got out of bed and dressed.
Creeeeak~
The bedroom door opened.
"Seito-kun, you're awake~!" Kaede stepped inside carrying a warm bag of breakfast.
She had clearly woken up much earlier to fetch breakfast—a truly attentive partner in every sense.
"Yeah," Seito nodded with a smile as Kaede set the food down on the table beside him. The two sat down to eat together.
"Seito-kun, are you heading to the academy today?" Kaede asked, looking up curiously.
"The academy?" Seito paused.
Today was Wednesday, a standard school day, making it an ideal time to drop by the campus. He wondered whether Hiyori Minami had already processed his request to restore his student status.
Speaking of which... the practical combat instructor for Class D should be either Shizuka Hiratsuka or Sae Chabashira now.
"Yay~!" Seeing Seito agree, Kaede smiled happily.
Finishing their meal, the two checked out of the hotel and walked side by side toward Sobu High School.
Along the way, Seito took in the surrounding sights with genuine curiosity. The streets of Chiba City were now filled with members of the Beastkin and Plantkin races walking side by side with human citizens in complete harmony.
Everyday life on Earth had become remarkably convenient as well. Holographic devices were everywhere, with store signboards and billboards fully digitized. To think the world had transformed so dramatically during his absence!
Seeing human adventurers forming dungeon raid parties alongside Beastkin and Plantkin companions showed just how closely knit the three races had become. Seito's lips curved into a subtle smile—this unified lifestyle was infinitely superior to the chaotic geopolitical struggles of the past.
After a twenty-minute walk, the two arrived at the front gates of Sobu High School. It was already seven-thirty in the morning, and morning classes were just getting underway.
"Instructor Seito! It's been quite a while since we last saw you!" a familiar voice called out.
Seito stopped in his tracks and turned toward the guardhouse. The elderly security guard and his younger assistant were stepping outside with warm grins.
"It really has been a while," Seito chuckled, waving back.
"Care for a smoke?" the old guard offered, pulling out a pack.
"I don't smoke, but thanks," Seito shook his head politely.
"Alright then, you two better head inside quickly, class has already started." The guard tucked the pack away.
"Got it," Seito nodded, taking Kaede's hand as they crossed the courtyard toward the main academic building.
Heading up to the second floor, Seito led Kaede to the entrance of Class D and pushed the door open.
Swish~~!
Every student in Class D snapped their gaze toward the doorway.
Offering a relaxed, casual smile, Seito looked at the teacher standing behind the podium, Daifuku Yamaguchi: "Teacher, the two of us are here for class."
