Chapter 387: Seito and the Yukinoshita Mother-Daughter Battle?!

....

Meanwhile, at the Yukinoshita residence.

Inside the living room, Seito and Haruno sat on the couch, smiling at each other. The person who had walked out the front door just moments ago was actually a mirror clone Seito had split off. His true body had stayed behind.

"Are we starting now?" Haruno asked, a playful, mischievous glint flashing across her beautiful eyes.

Seito offered a gentle smile. "Of cou—"

"Sasageyo~ Sasageyo~ Shinzou wo Sasageyo~"

Suddenly, Seito's phone ringtone blared, instantly putting a damper on the cozy atmosphere.

"Who's calling at this hour?" Seito muttered, pulling out his phone with a puzzled look.

When his eyes landed on the caller ID, he froze for a second. It was Mrs. Yukinoshita. He quickly tapped the screen to answer.

"Seito-kun, are you free to drop by my place today?"

"..."

Hearing Mrs. Yukinoshita's voice from the other end of the line, Seito instantly decoded what she truly meant. However... this presented quite a challenging dilemma.

Should he stay here and hang out with Haruno, or should he head over to see her mother? It was a tough choice to make.

After thinking it over for a brief moment, Seito decided it was best to visit the mother first, especially since it had been quite a long time since he last dropped by her place. With that plan locked in, Seito spoke into the receiver, "I'll be right over."

"Great!"

Mrs. Yukinoshita's tone sounded a bit excited before she abruptly hung up the line. But it was precisely that subtle hint of excitement in her mother's voice that allowed Haruno to sniff out a trace of a secret plot.

After all, even if her mother wanted Seito to visit, there was absolutely no reason for her to sound that thrilled. It was worth noting that Seito hadn't visited her place for almost a whole year before, yet her mother had always maintained a perfectly composed demeanor. Why was she suddenly acting so eager today?

"Haruno, I'm going to drop by your mother's place first today," Seito said, slipping his phone back into his pocket as he looked at her.

"Sure, no problem," Haruno replied, snapping out of her thoughts and nodding.

Receiving her approval, Seito triggered his spatial power and vanished from the room.

Watching him disappear, the look on Haruno's face gradually turned into a deep, burning suspicion. Suddenly, a shocking thought clicked in her mind, causing her to gasp out loud.

"No way?! Could Seito-chan actually harbor a hidden preference for married ladies?!"

Haruno was genuinely startled by her own wild theory. But the more she analyzed the data, the more plausible it seemed. In the very next second, a surge of intense jealousy hit her.

"I'm a perfectly fine, beautiful young woman, yet I actually lost to my own mother? How unfair!!" Feeling immensely slighted that Seito hadn't stayed behind to hang out with her, Haruno pouted deeply. "No way! I need to go over and see what's happening for myself!"

Without wasting another second, Haruno moved in a flash and slipped clean out of the apartment.

Meanwhile, on the other side of Chiba City, at the main Yukinoshita estate.

Seito and Mrs. Yukinoshita stood facing each other, intense fighting spirit burning brightly in their eyes!

The reason the mature lady had called Seito over today was incredibly straightforward: she had recently mastered a lot of new skills, so she wanted to hold a serious match against Seito to determine who was truly superior!

Clang! Clash! Bang~~

The two of them had already traded dozens of rapid rounds. Currently, they looked perfectly matched, neither gaining the upper hand!

"Ma'am, I actually have a highly lethal finishing move up my sleeve! I suggest you don't take this lightly!"

"Heh, bring it on if you have the skills!"

"Nonono, it's not the right time yet. A signature ultimate move must always be saved for the grand finale."

"Don't look down on me!"

The battle was fiercely contested, reaching a fever pitch. In a high-level face-off like this, neither side dared to lose focus for even a microsecond, as both of them intensely wanted to secure the absolute victory! After all, only the winner would hold the true commanding right.

Zip~~

Suddenly, a silhouette materialized right inside the room.

The abrupt intrusion startled both Seito and Mrs. Yukinoshita, forcing them to pause their maneuvers and look over at the same time. They watched as Haruno stood there, staring down at the two of them with a perfectly stoic, unreadable expression.

"Har... Haruno... why are you suddenly back?!" Mrs. Yukinoshita froze entirely, her motions coming to a dead stop. Why on earth had her daughter returned without warning?! This was...

"Mother, why do you think I came back?" Haruno cast a deeply pouting look at her mother, while silently sighing in her heart.

Her mother was merely a deity sitting at the early stage of the common God rank; how could she ever hope to match Seito in a straight fight? It looked like she would have to step in and offer some active deployment support!

"I..."

Mrs. Yukinoshita's cheeks flushed a beautiful crimson. She had simply felt a sudden craving to spar with Seito, which was why she called him over to test out her newly unlocked skills. She never anticipated her own daughter would crash the party.

"So... exactly how long have the two of you been holding this little sparring match?" Haruno asked curiously, her eyes tracking Seito's offensive stance.

"Uh..." Seito scratched his head awkwardly. He hadn't expected Haruno to follow him over here either. This situation had become highly embarrassing.

Faced with her question, neither Seito nor the mature lady offered an immediate answer. They maintained a tight grip on their respective positions, still sizing each other up, completely unwilling to throw in the towel.

Seeing their silent standoff, a bright smile suddenly broke across Haruno's face. She turned her head toward her mother. "Mother, do you need me to jump in and help you out?"

"This..." The older woman blinked, and then nodded her head in agreement.

It was an undeniable fact that Seito's offensive techniques were simply too overwhelming. Although she was putting up a brave front, her baseline defensive parameters were rapidly running low.

Securing her daughter's active assistance would definitely optimize her survival rate!

Haruno laughed, immediately triggering her own skill set and lunging into the fray. Seito let out a sigh of relief, shifting his stance to meet the combined onslaught as the match resumed with double the intensity!

Meanwhile, let's shift our focus back to Sobu High.

Currently, the final exams had officially commenced. Seito's mirror clone sat lazily behind the podium, letting out a slow yawn as his eyes swept over the students taking the test below.

The entire female student body of Class D, the core girls of the Five Swords faction, Umaru Doma and the Nakano quintuplets from Class E, the absolute majority of the girls from Class B, and Yumiko Miura from Class A.

"Is this entire testing hall packed with nothing but deities?" Seito's clone thought with a highly colorful expression.

Every single student assigned to his examination room happened to be a registered deity belonging to his own Divine Faction! Since everyone possessed maxed-out mental parameters, a standard high school paper was an absolute joke to them. What was the point of proctoring a test like this? There was zero need to keep an eye on them! With that relaxing thought, the clone completely kicked back.

Time flew by incredibly fast. Just five minutes into the session, Risa Shiramine rose from her seat, holding her completed test paper as she glided up to the podium.

"Seito-sensei~ I'm turning in my exam paper first~"

"Mhm," Seito nodded smoothly. "Just leave it on the desk."

Risa set her paper down and casually returned to her seat.

Immediately following her move...

Tap, tap, tap, tap~~

The remaining students rose from their desks in unison, walking up to the podium in a steady line to submit their papers. Since they were all genuine divine entities, solving a basic mortal school exam required zero processing power. Within a brief five-minute window, the entire room had finished inputting their answers and safely returned to their seats.
