Chapter 74 - Big figures

Thousands of students gained admission into Gomas Academy every year. Yet only a few hundreds actually graduated annually and were given the license to become official hunters and restorers.

This was because the academy had an extremely rigorous and somewhat harsh system. They adopted five elimination exams in a year. And there was no fixed time for the exams to happen, which was why students always had to be on their toes and alert.

Students who failed the exam would be kicked out of the school, unless they had enough points to give in exchange for repeating the year.

Gomas didn't practice the tradition of students taking tests and marking their attendance, all to be graded alongside final results. Instead, they practiced the Point System.

A student could gain points by simply being excellent in one area or another, or being honored by the school for achieving something great or just by being very popular.
