The palace did not calm after the announcement. It sharpened. Schedules tightened, guards doubled, corridors filled with purpose instead of noise, and somewhere in the middle of all of that Michael stopped being 'new' and started being watched. Closely.
"I LIKE THIS ARC." Riko whispered.
"You like everything dramatic." Ben replied.
"I THRIVE IN DEVELOPMENT."Riko said.
"You thrive in chaos."John said.
"I ACCEPT."I said.
"STOP."John said.
It happened just before noon, of course it did. Because nothing ever waited for a convenient time, a servant ran. Fast, too fast, straight past us. Then bells short not panic.
"That's not a drill." Leo said immediately.
"I ACCEPT REAL DANGER." Riko nodded.
"You are the danger." Ben said.
"I AM MULTI PURPOSE."Riko said.
Guards moved instantly, formation, doors sealed, voices drop weapons ready and at the center of it Rosana didn't move which meant this was expected.
