Chapter 17: Uchiha Shisui's Sharingan
Uchiha Shisui's Flying Thunder God Mark was easy to sense. Most of the Flying Thunder God Tags Naruto left in Konoha were immovable; Uchiha Shisui's Flying Thunder God Mark was the only one moving rapidly.
Naruto originally didn't have much of an opinion on the Uchiha Clan Massacre, but seeing Uchiha Shisui today, he thought about taking a risk to seize Uchiha Shisui's Mangekyo. Regardless of whether he would use it later, the main thing was to prevent Danzo from getting his hands on it.
For three consecutive days, Naruto used the cover of his Shadow Clones. Finally, he sensed Uchiha Shisui's Flying Thunder God Mark moving further and further into a remote area, and he knew Danzowas likely about to make his move.
Naruto quickly sensed the Flying Thunder God Mark closest to Uchiha Shisui and teleported there instantly. Using the Transformation Jutsu, he turned into a cat and waited for Uchiha Shisui to pass by.
However, to Naruto's surprise, Uchiha Shisuiactually deviated from his original direction. Narutocursed inwardly.
So, Naruto had to use the cat form as a disguise and rushed over using the Body Flicker Technique.
When Naruto felt he was close enough, he saw that Danzo had already fallen for a trick, and Uchiha Shisui was turning to leave in a moment of carelessness.
Naruto knew his chance had come. He kept a close eye on Danzo's movements; as soon as Danzogouged out Uchiha Shisui's eye, he would immediately use the Flying Thunder God.
Naruto carefully observed Danzo's every move, silently counting down in his heart: three, two, one.
The moment Uchiha Shisui's eye was gouged out, Naruto activated the Flying Thunder God. Coincidentally, Uchiha Shisui also jumped back two steps, making it even easier for Naruto to snatch the Sharingan from Danzo's hand.
Danzo hadn't expected a cat to suddenly appear. Just as he was about to leap back, the cat Narutohad transformed into had already grabbed the Sharingan and quickly used the Flying Thunder God Technique to leave the scene.
Seeing this, Danzo furiously ordered the members of Root.
"Capture Uchiha Shisui! We must get the other Sharingan. Damn it! Space-time fluctuations? Was it the Flying Thunder God Technique? Or the Ninja Cat Clan?"
While Shimura Danzo was pondering who had stolen the Sharingan, Uchiha Shisui had already escaped.
"Damn it! You're all useless."
Danzo knew his objective was now exposed. One Sharingan had been stolen, and he couldn't get the other one either. He could only lead the Rootmembers away in a huff.
Meanwhile, Naruto continued to sense the Flying Thunder God Tag on Uchiha Shisui. Sensing that Shisui seemed to be moving in circles, Narutowasn't in a hurry to pursue him.
It wasn't until nearly two in the morning that Uchiha Shisui seemed to head toward the Uchiha Clan Compound.
Naruto also had a rough idea of what was going on. Perhaps Uchiha Shisui still didn't trust Danzo, which was why he had been circling around Konoha.
Having found that no one was following him, he finally returned to the Uchiha Clan Compound.
Naruto also quickly rushed toward the Uchiha Clan Compound using the Body Flicker Technique.
Soon, Naruto sensed that Uchiha Shisui had stopped. Although his location was within the Uchiha Clan Compound, it was also on the outskirts of Konoha, with the Uchiha Clan Compound situated between Uchiha Shisui and Konoha Village.
"It seems Uchiha Shisui is still afraid Danzo will follow him. But this is awkward! Danzo can't pursue him, and neither can I! If I rush over slowly, I definitely won't make it in time. Given his current cat form, if I use the Body Flicker Technique, I'll be discovered immediately."
While Naruto was trying to think of a way, he suddenly felt Uchiha Shisui moving slowly.
Naruto's mouth twitched as he muttered to himself.
"Well, no need to think of a way anymore. He's already finished his farewells and jumped into the river. Going there would be pointless."
Just as Naruto was about to leave, he suddenly thought of the Flying Thunder God Tag. If he didn't take it back and Uchiha Shisui's body was discovered, it would definitely be examined in detail. Wouldn't the Flying Thunder God Tag be exposed then?
Naruto had no choice but to mimic an ordinary house cat, crouching there and sensing that the Flying Thunder God Tag was no longer moving.
However, to Naruto's surprise, he waited until after four in the morning when Uchiha Shisui's Flying Thunder God Tag actually began slowly approaching the Uchiha Clan Compound.
"Damn! Uchiha Shisui, you're quite crafty! You actually faked your death to trick me. I almost fell for it. What should I do? Should I take back the Flying Thunder God Tag or not?"
While Naruto was hesitating, he suddenly realized that Uchiha Shisui probably suspected it was him, but just wasn't certain yet. Coupled with the fact that Shisui didn't dare look for him, he had used this method.
Having understood this, Naruto stopped hesitating. Since Uchiha Shisui had already guessed it was him, there was no point in hiding anymore.
Just as Naruto was about to activate the Flying Thunder God to find Uchiha Shisui, another problem occurred to him: Uchiha Shisui still had his other Sharingan. If Shisui used Kotoamatsukami on him, wouldn't he be finished?
Thus, Naruto immediately created another Shadow Clone and sent it directly to meet Uchiha Shisui.
Sure enough, when the Shadow Clone arrived before Uchiha Shisui, Shisui wasn't surprised at all. Instead, he looked at the Shadow Clone with a miserable smile.
Seeing Uchiha Shisui's appearance, the Shadow Clone couldn't help but shake its head.
"You really are in a pathetic state!"
"It is indeed quite pathetic! Did you know what would happen today all along?"
"That's right! I did indeed guess it long ago."
Uchiha Shisui was silent for a long time before saying in a somewhat despondent tone, "Is there really no way for the Uchiha to integrate into the Village?"
Naruto's Shadow Clone thought he had misheard. He looked at Uchiha Shisui in disbelief and asked, "Don't tell me you still don't understand? It's not that the Village can't accept the Uchiha, but that the Village's higher-ups are unwilling to accept the Uchiha."
Uchiha Shisui frowned and asked, "What do you mean by that? Hokage-sama has always hoped that the Uchiha could integrate into the Village. Do you have some kind of misunderstanding about Lord Third?"
Well! Hiruzen Sarutobi's brainwashing is truly impressive! He's practically fooled Uchiha Shisuiinto being an idiot. Even at this point, he still trusts Hiruzen Sarutobi so much.
The Shadow Clone sighed, shook its head, and said, "In your heart, Third Hokage Sarutobi Hiruzenrepresents Konoha Village. No matter what I say, you'll believe Hiruzen Sarutobi. Do you think there's any point in me speaking?"
Uchiha Shisui looked at Naruto's Shadow Clonewith his single Mangekyo Sharingan, truly unable to understand what Naruto was trying to express.
Isn't the Hokage the supreme leader of Konoha Village? Can't the Hokage represent the Village?
But the tone of Naruto's voice gave Shisui the impression that Third Hokage Sarutobi Hiruzen did not represent the entirety of Konoha Village.
Shisui was silent for a long while before saying, "I still want to hear your thoughts."
