In an apartment complex late at night.
Everyone was in deep sleep, ready for their early shift at work the next morning.
In the silence that came with a great night sleep.
A high pitched girly scream was heard throughout the apartment complex, waking everyone up from their beauty sleep.
"NOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
A man sitting in his gaming chair just made the worst decision of his life.
He chose to "Destroy Elpis."
The choice ending with his favorite character, Leon S. Kennedy getting a bullet through the head.
He was not an og Resident Evil fan.
He only started playing the games when Resident Evil 2 got a remake.
After that one game, he fell in love with the franchise.
He went back and played every game, and every game that came afterwards.
He was even blessed enough by the gods to have been born with the same name as "Ethan Walk 'em Down Winters."
Now one of his beloved Goats of all fiction was dead.
Tears ran down his face.
"Leon...I failed you...I'm sorry."
It was currently 4 A.M in the morning.
A burning sensation erupted in Ethans heart.
He wanted to know what would have happened if he had chosen the other option.
"Would Leon have lived?"
He made his decision in an instant, not caring for anything else.
He restarted the entire game.
He didn't even let the current game finish before closing it and creating a new file.
Ethan decided he was going to finish it in one sitting.
The Sun soon emerged into the sky.
People woke for their morning shift at work.
School buses moved to take the kids to school.
Shops opened business for the day.
In a dark room, with only a small portion of light shining through a window, Ethan sat.
The end credits for the game rolled on his gaming monitor.
He had done it.
Leon was alive.
His goat survived.
Finally taking his eyes off his monitor, the bright light of the sun reached his eyes through the window.
A raspy shriek escaped his lips.
"The sun's already up?"
Looking at the time on his phone.
Ethan was left stunned.
"WHAT! 2 P.M?"
Ethan was late for his morning shift at work, he had to be there by 6 A.M
Those numbers were the last thing Ethan saw before darkness took over his vision.
Ethan succumbed to sleep.
Visions of the great Leon S. Kennedy appeared in Ethans mind.
His amazing bike riding skills.
Leon's amazing accuracy with a gun.
His amazing hand to hand combat style.
His parrying with his axe.
We can't forget Leon's amazing one liners.
"Am I in heaven?"
Cracks appeared throughout his visions.
Immediately shattering into a thousand pieces like glass.
His eyes opened.
His body jolted straight up, the chair he was sitting on was violently pushed back.
The students around him jumped at the sudden motion.
Looking around, all he saw were desks with high school students on them.
A classroom? Where the hell was he?
One moment, he was in heaven...the next in a classroom?
Everyone stared at him in silence, no one spoke a word.
He quietly sat back down on his seat.
Pretending as though nothing unusual had happened.
Looking around at the weird glances he was getting, Ethan realised something.
There are a lot of Asian people in this class.
While his attention was on the asian students around him, he failed to realise the language they were speaking.
He noticed in an instant.
The man standing at the front of the room with a textbook in hand was speaking a different language.
"What?...Japanese?"
He stared dumbfounded at the man.
He was speaking in a completely different language.
Ethan wasn't shocked by the sudden language change.
He was shocked because he could understand it.
"I know Japanese?"
.....
