Chapter 3 - Second Wish?

"Alrighttt!! What better way to make a grand entrance? Let's get to work! Marchers, soldiers, dancers, servants, everyone, to your stations!" Genie boomed, his blue form swelling into the sky.

He noticed Aladdin's movements but ignored them, as he needed space to work. His hands crackled with countless fireworks, and he shot them forward across the surrounding oasis.

"YES!! YES!! ESLALUMBO, SHIMIN DUMBO! WHOAA!!"

High above, Aladdin watched in awe as soldiers, wielding swords, spears, bows, and arrows, rode horses and camels in groups of hundreds.

Marchers, servants riding camels, and others carried huge bowls of gold and expensive jewels. Some held beautiful golden camels, while others carried platforms filled with exotic animals, dazzling peacocks, white Persian monkeys, and many more.

Beautiful dancers made Aladdin gulp as they immediately began practising their routines, swaying their waists like wine flowing in a glass cup.

"Amazing," Aladdin uttered, wide-eyed.

This scene was likely cut from the movie to save time and budget, but now, truly experiencing it in real life, he was astounded at the power in the Genie's hands.

Now he understood why Jafar had gone mad, wishing to become a Genie. Without being tied to a lamp, these beings were reality-bending entities, capable of standing over the entire Nine Deserts or possibly the world.

Fortunately, the Genie before him wasn't evil, or else Aladdin wouldn't have hesitated to hide him deep in the bottom of a pit within his palace after using his entire wish.

From the Aladdin series, which he could barely remember. Aladdin knew the Genie's near omnipotent powers were tied to the rules of the lamp. Granting him freedom removes both the chains and the lamps that amplify him.

His powers become limited, and he loses his absolute invulnerability because of this, causing him to be susceptible to magical attacks from powerful sorcerers, magical artefacts or other powerful beings who would've been unable to lay a scratch on him if he were still tied to the lamp. In other words, he was now a target that could be sealed back to a lamp.

Aladdin couldn't help but wonder if the Genie came to an extinct magical race because of their unique magical nature. Still, this meant that he could seal the Genie if he ever went rogue. But that was a worst-case scenario he never wanted to happen, because no one wanted to deal with a furious rogue Genie even when they were severely weakened.

Soon, the fireworks began dying down.

Aladdin saw that the Genie had expanded the oasis to fit the entire entourage he would bring with him to meet Princess Jasmine.

Genie whistled at them.

Carpet immediately soared downward, quickly arriving in the oasis.

"So, what do you think of my work? On a scale of one to ten? Rate me, big boy?" Genie asked, flashing a wide, cheerful smile.

"Eleven," Aladdin replied.

"Al… righttt, boys…" Genie spun around and transformed into a major, similar to the one Aladdin had seen in the movie.

"Genie… I want to make my second wish," Aladdin said immediately.

To fully take advantage of the plot, he needed to make his second wish immediately.

Genie froze. "Cough… I never expected that you would want to take a wish this quickly. You're truly full of surprises, brah!" He transformed back into his normal Genie form and said, "So what is it that you want to wish for?"

"For my second wish, I wish to instantly understand, learn, and master any form of magic in existence, with perfect control and proficiency, without cost, limitation, or negative consequence," Aladdin replied.

He could have wished to become the most powerful person in the world, both physically and magically, and with his empire, he would be an absolute force to be reckoned with, someone no one would dare oppose. But that was a little vague. The only most powerful being he knew of was the Genie before him, which meant he would be indirectly making the same wish as Jafar, to become a Genie.

He didn't know how the Genie would grant such a wish, especially if he specified that he didn't want to become a genie or inherit the limitations such a powerful being might possess.

Would he still remain human? Even if he explicitly stated that he wanted to remain human? Wouldn't he become a walking nuclear bomb? Would Genie even be able to undo any damage he might cause while learning to control such power if he suddenly became stronger than the Genie himself?

And who knew how much such a wish could change him, or how it might alter the course of the story and affect his chances of capturing Princess Jasmine's heart?

Aladdin couldn't wish to be less powerful than the Genie either, as that might create an almost impossible bottleneck for him to overcome. So he settled on this wish, as it was the most foolproof option that would allow him to grow into a powerful individual while still taking full advantage of the plot.

With magic, he could also enhance his physical strength. With his empire already behind him, he was basically untouchable.

After years of planning, this was his second wish.

If he could use all three wishes freely, he would have had more options to make himself truly untouchable, but the last one was already reserved to free the Genie.

"AND THERE YOU HAVE IT, FOLKS! THE SMARTEST MASTER IN THE HISTORY OF GENIE GRANT MY WISHES IS, PRINCE ALADDIN!!" Genie transformed the lamp into a microphone, and a ranking list similar to the one that had appeared before emerged.

But this time, his name was at number one.

They suddenly appeared on a stage with a massive audience around them.

Genie pointed the microphone at him and said, "Anything you would like to say to the fans who are watching?"

Aladdin didn't respond, as he was taken aback by the rapid absurdity of everything that had just taken place. No matter how much he tried, he was unable to keep up with the Genie.

However, Genie merely hummed and nodded with an impressed and understanding look. "And there you have it, folks. A wise man remains silent because his wisdom speaks for itself. Catch you next time on your favourite TV show, 'Genie Grant My Wishes', and I'm your host, Genie of the Lamp!"

After he was done, Genie tossed the mic away and clapped his hands. Everything swiftly reverted back to normal, and they reappeared in the oasis.

"Is that your second wish?" Genie asked for confirmation.

It was at this moment that Aladdin realised that the Genie before him was truly a good person. Even after hearing his wish, he had given him the chance to reconsider whether he truly wanted to make such a wish.

"Yes. This is my wish, Genie," Aladdin responded.

Genie nodded. A white coat appeared on him, and with a 'poof' of blue smoke, a table filled with glass tubes, and a greenish liquid in one of them on a stove, and other research instruments used for experiments appeared before him.

Genie read a book titled 'How to Make a Powerhouse' as he transferred the greenish liquid from one instrument to another, mixing it with other liquids to the extent that a stench emerged and spread through the oasis.

Aladdin held his nose and waved his hand as he saw the deep greenish and black smoke from the liquid drifting toward him.

Abu did the same. Even Carpet moved back, though Aladdin wasn't sure how it had sensed the smell.

Suddenly, countless fireworks burst from the tube and shot skyward around it.

Genie dropped a small red drop into the liquid, which now resembled a rainbow, and said with a smile, "Alright! That should do it."

Genie immediately transferred the liquid into a small glass bottle, only a few centimetres in size. He handed it to Aladdin and said, "Here you go, pal. This is a serum that will grant you the wish you desire. Don't hesitate, gulp it down."

Abu and Carpet instantly distanced themselves from Aladdin and the Genie.

Aladdin ignored the stench emanating from the bottle. He took it and immediately gulped down its entire contents. He let out a burp as he handed the glass back to Genie.

Streams of colourful light shot out of his eyes, nose, mouth and ears and exploded around him. Aladdin yelled out in surprise as he was lifted into the sky.

Abu climbed onto the Genie and pointed at Aladdin with a sharp voice.

"Don't worry, monkey, he'll be alright," Genie returned to his normal form and patted Abu's head before focusing on Aladdin in the air with a hand spyglass.

Aladdin rose to the height of the tallest tree in the oasis before falling back to the ground. Surprisingly, he landed on his feet.

"Haaa..hhaaaa!! What was that?" Aladdin clutched his knees, breathing heavily as he looked at Genie and asked.

"That was a special serum that will turn you from an ordinary man into one of the greatest powerhouses to ever exist, even possessing the potential to surpass me. Along with your first wish, you've just basically become Prince Perfect. Of course, we still need to make you look the part and talk the talk... If that's your third and final wish," Genie said, transforming into a doctor with a stethoscope around his neck.
