"You're welcome." He sat beside her like he'd always sat there. "Joren asked good questions. Silas touched everything." A small pause. "Zara's face kept doing a thing near Chief Roshan. She said it was terrain."
Zara closed her eyes briefly.
"Lady Faelyn." Joren crouched in front of her, genuinely warm. "It's really good to see you. You look well."
"Better than last time."
"Much better," Silas said, sitting beside Kito, sincerely glad a thorough tour was over. "Kito explained the cooking tomorrow. He told us everything."
"I explained most of it right," Kito said, fairly.
"You said the silver pots were made from moon ore," Joren said.
Kito looked at Faelyn. "The real story is less interesting," he said. "I made it better."
"The real story is leopards and panthers working together for the first time," Faelyn said.
Kito thought about this. Genuinely considered it.
