"Hiding your fox tail already, huh?"
"I thought you'd keep it concealed a little longer!"
Satoru Gojo taunted as he threw punches at full force.
Boom!
Another clash—cursed energy flames flared along their fists, intertwining and warping!
White shockwaves spread outward, thunder echoing without end!
"Huh… your intangibility really is troublesome."
Gojo pulled back his fist, clicking his tongue.
"Your Limitless isn't exactly easy to deal with either," Mirai replied calmly.
Simple Domain—a secret technique that neutralizes cursed energy compatibility and disrupts techniques.
Unlike Miwa Kasumi or sorcerers with inherited family techniques, the energy Mirai used in close combat against Gojo was—
A hidden art of the Three Great Clans known as "Falling Blossom Emotion" (Rakuka no Jō).
More powerful and effective than an ordinary Simple Domain—
But with exponentially greater cursed energy consumption!
"Yuji Itadori's origins… the Special Grade curses forming factions…"
"And the spy you mentioned hiding among the students."
Gojo flexed his fists and smiled.
"Mind explaining those honestly?"
"If I accidentally kill you, it'll be a hassle to investigate later."
"And my adorable students might end up resenting me."
"You mean Maki?"
Mirai rolled his neck slightly and replied in a low voice:
"No need to worry."
"If you want to kill me… you can't."
"Is that so?!"
A manic grin flashed across Gojo's face as his figure vanished instantly!
Crimson-black energy surged like waves!
A blinding black flash, packed with immense cursed energy, shot straight toward Mirai's abdomen with Gojo's punch!
Mirai's scarlet pupils flickered—his overwhelming motion tracking and predictive ability activating.
Even Gojo's instantaneous movement couldn't escape the gaze of the Mangekyō!
Mirai raised his knee to block, then countered with a right punch straight toward Gojo's head!
Two entirely different black lightning flashes exploded beneath the clouds!
BOOM!!
A deafening roar!
The two figures were blasted apart by immense force, crashing to the ground one after the other like falling meteors!
The earth split open into massive craters, debris and dust scattering everywhere!
At the arena entrance, Nanami and the others stared in shock at Gojo's fall.
The wound on his forehead had already healed the moment he landed—
But the few drops of blood trailing down his cheek made one thing clear:
The man acknowledged as the strongest in the jujutsu world—
The one who could casually annihilate Special Grade curses with a smile—
Satoru Gojo…
Was injured.
"Interesting… this is really interesting!"
The manic smile on Gojo's lips only grew wider.
Ignoring the others beside him, he leaned forward and dashed—
The ground exploded beneath his step, leaving a deep crater!
The gale that followed lifted clothes and hair into the air.
They exchanged glances, the shock in their eyes lingering.
Gojo flashed through the battlefield, his mind racing.
Normal Blue and Red, without incantations, couldn't break that fake-smiling bastard's intangibility.
Purple took too long to prepare—and could be reflected by that strange cursed tool.
That's why he chose close combat with Simple Domain.
But—
Why hadn't Mirai used the Ten Shadows Technique?
Even if the shikigami couldn't bypass Limitless, they could still obstruct vision and intercept attacks.
And that Special Grade curse—wasn't it supposed to be his ally?
So why had Mirai tried to kill it?
Filled with questions, Gojo closed in rapidly!
Falling into the forest, Mirai's lips curled into a faint smile.
Why not summon shikigami to take the damage?
Why insist on close combat?
Crack.
A faint sound echoed from within the shadows.
The wheel of the strongest shikigami slowly began to turn.
It wasn't that he had abandoned the Ten Shadows Technique—
He had been using it all along.
Back then, Mahoraga had adapted to Gojo's Unlimited Void.
Now, through their hand-to-hand combat—
It was adapting to Limitless's "inviolability," cutting off Gojo's last escape route.
Mirai's landing spot was not far from the students.
At that moment—
All of them stared at him in shock.
A battle in the sky against the strongest…
And it looked evenly matched!
Even if Gojo hadn't gone all out—
Zenin Mirai hadn't used his techniques either!
"…Big brother."
Maki and Mai's expressions were complicated.
The Kyoto students remained on guard.
But there was no time to react—
A violent gale was already approaching!
Cursed energy surged upward, black hair whipping wildly!
The crimson glow in Mirai's eyes burned with killing intent!
In an instant—
BOOM!!!
"Black Flash!"
Two fists wrapped in red-black lightning collided violently!
A tidal wave of shockwaves burst outward in all directions!
Panda clutched White Zetsu and turned, using his thick fur to shield against the impact.
The students didn't even have time to react—
They were all blown backward by the force!
No matter their stance—
Interfering in a clash like this would mean certain death!
"Fake-smile bastard… where's your Ten Shadows Technique?"
Staring directly into those blood-red eyes at close range, Gojo asked with a grin.
Cursed energy surged—blue flames intensified around his fist!
Mirai glanced at the pale blue mist reflected in Gojo's Six Eyes and simply smiled, saying nothing.
Boom!
Another crater exploded between them as they separated once more.
"It's been a while since I've had a fight this fun. Not bad, kid!"
Gojo spoke like a senior addressing a junior—
Which, in age, he was by six or seven years.
Mirai's gaze turned cold as he mocked him:
"You're just a fool being used by others. What exactly are you so proud of?"
While the snipe and clam fight, the fisherman profits.
The conservative faction of Jujutsu High—
And even Gojo himself—
Were merely pieces on Kenjaku's board.
Mirai was confident he could kill Gojo here.
But if he revealed too much of his strength and scared Kenjaku—
If that man abandoned his plan and fled overseas…
That would be the real problem.
At that thought, the crimson in Mirai's eyes deepened.
At Jujutsu High—inside a hidden shrine passage.
Four sorcerers in uniform lay collapsed in pools of blood.
Mahito, his face covered in stitched seams, held a gray cloth sack in his hand.
Stepping out, he complained:
"You're already here, so why didn't you come inside?"
"There's plenty of good stuff in the vault. I just grabbed what we needed so we wouldn't waste time."
A figure stepped out from the shadows.
Dressed in monk robes, Suguru Geto smiled with narrowed eyes.
"Sorry, Mahito~"
"If I entered the Tomb of the Star Corridor, Tengen might notice me."
"Before Gojo Satoru is sealed, it's best not to let anyone from Jujutsu High see my face."
Mahito yawned behind his hand.
"Then me and Uraume could've handled it. You didn't even do anything."
Leaning against the hidden door, reflected in the pool of blood was another youthful face—
Uraume, dressed in black-and-white monk robes, with a neat bob haircut.
They narrowed their eyes silently, staring at the Sukuna fingers in Mahito's hand.
"Since we already tipped Gojo off, security at the entrance was bound to increase," Kenjaku said coldly, looking down at the corpses.
"To be safe, I came with Uraume."
He lifted his gaze, a faint smile forming.
"Looks like we got lucky. The guards weren't much trouble."
"Let's go. We'll head back and wait for good news."
Moving through the shadows, the three avoided all of Jujutsu High's surveillance—
And returned to the cursed spirits' base.
