There was 4 months to gain a more reliable standing in the hero world.
'Hmmm, patrolling…'
My 'patrolling' consisted of grocery trips.
It just so happened that my nearby store was getting robbed.
'First hero act around here.'
I walked in and the bell attached to the door jingled.
The villain closest to me was watching the entrance.
"Get back, or I'll hurt you."
He held no weapon, but he held out his hand like a finger gun.
I kept walking and he closed his eyes before shooting me.
His finger nail shot out and clattered against my chest before falling to the ground.
"Eh?" He opened his eyes
"Self defence."
I was taller so I slapped downwards and connected to the back of his head.
He fell straight down and ate the floor with a resounding thump.
'Too much?'
He might have a broken nose now.
The other villain looked back.
But I had already gotten infront of him.
"Boop." I said in a flat tone and did a one inch punch to his midsection.
He crumbled onto the floor while breathing heavily.
"Stealing is bad, so don't do it?"
I looked up at the bag of cash he was filling and pushed it across the counter to the employee, apparently he hadn't even finished filling the bag.
"You good?"
The female employee was staring at me with a wide open jaw.
I scratched my head.
"Have you called the police or something?"
"O-oh yeah, I did."
…
"I can still shop right?"
"Yeah."
I turned away.
'I deserve some ice cream.'
I couldn't hear any nearby villains and so I continued with my day.
Once I was done the police had arrived.
"You're the hero who stopped them?" It was a literal cat person.
"Yeah, that would be me."
I was nearly at the door and had my items in my pockets.
"Can I see your license?"
"Sure."
I fished it out, it was a small rectangular card.
"You new?"
"Kind of, I did limit my force right? They aren't injured too bad right?"
"No, one nearly broke his nose though."
'I did well.'
"Well, I got places to be. See ya soon."
"Sure, keep defeating those villains."
'He seems nice.'

We met again later that night.
I was standing over a short guy who was unconscious in a dark alleyway.
"Uh? What happened here?"
"This guy attacked me because I was tall, he used a giantification quirk to get bigger than me and tried to gloat…
… but that's unlicensed quirk usage, isn't it."
…
I got home safe that night.
It was the next day when I was planning to extract some cash from the bank when it was robbed.
There I was taking some money out when 4 randoms in masks ran in.
"THIS IS A ROBBERY!!!"
The two at the front enlarged only to suddenly get thrown back into the far wall.
The other two stood there in shock.
"Not anymore." I grabbed them both on the shoulders.
"Can you give up… I don't want to lose my place in the line."
I raised my voice.
"Anyone called the cops yet?"
"Yeah."
"Cool."
I took out a large amount of rope from my comically small pocket and tied them up before going back to my business.
Apparently I had to wait for the cops to come since there were villains.
"Mr. Hero?"
I looked around to see a small kid with slacks.
'Slacks? At that age?'
"Yeah?"
"What's your name?"
"It's Taka."
…
"Your hero name?"
'Oops, is this what I get for not sleeping?'
"Right, that one is Blitzen."
He ran off to his mom.
'I gotta loosen up, the media will hate me.'
The media tends to want people that can socialise, I kinda forgot some of it while tracking down and killing those evil guys.
The cops that showed up ended up being the same cat cop.
'Is this fate or is the author tired of thinking of different people? How many police officers are there anyways, isn't there more heroes than policemen… actually there might be more vigilantes than policemen.'
I was stretching, there weren't that many vigilantes around.
'Geez I'm bored…'
I decided to visit Hosu and have a look around.
'This should be the city that the Iida family are based in…'
I chucked away my train ticket and found my way to a random two story mall.
It was cramped but I could see over most people.
Looking around there was a lot of All Might. He was literally everywhere given he was still in his prime.
I'm pretty sure some police stations had an All Might button that summoned him.
I only ended up buying a candy apple.
'Do I take out the Yakuza now, or after Eri gets born…'
I couldn't just ignore that the Yakuza did bad things and so my dilemma right now was when I should take them down.
As far as I am aware, it would be two years until Eri was born.
'Choices choices.'
I bit into the candy apple.
"Eurgh!"
It was really sweet.
"Who knows what she saw in those things."
I noticed a small child looking around worriedly.
"Wassup kid?" I squatted down.
"I-I. I lost my mom…" She looked like she was gonna cry.
"Well where did you last see her?"
"Just over there."
She pointed at the shop opposite.
"Want a higher vantage point to look for her?"
Her face brightened up. "Yeah!"
"Kay." I hoisted her up and onto my right shoulder. "Up ya go."
'Damn when did I get so big? She's fine just sitting on one!'
I kept her upright as she looked around.
But it was to no avail.
"Do you think she left me?"
'Uh oh.'
I looked up at her.
"Why would she do that?
"B-b-because I use up so much money and we don't have that much."
"Geez how old are you kid?" She looked like she was about to tear up then cry.
"That's pretty mature from you, I doubt she would get rid of someone who is probably going to be a bread winner."
I looked around.
"Oh, and she loves you too."
I could tell from her posture that she was feeling better.
'Does she know what a bread winner is?'
I opened my mouth but was I interrupted.
"And how would you know that mister?"
I nearly said "because she didn't get rid of you once you were born".
But then I remembered that I was dealing with a child.
"I'm a hero, I know these things."
She gasped. "Like Ingenium?!"
I sighed. "Yes, like Ingenium. Speaking of, is that your mom over there?"
I pointed at a frantic lady looking around. She had just left the store that the child had lost her in.
'Did she even lose her? Or did she just wander out the store?'
"YEAH!"
I walked over to her, she was a lot smaller than me and had bright green hair like her child.
While I was walking I took out 40,000 Yen and placed it into the girls hand, putting her on the floor.
"Take care."
I tapped the mother on the shoulder and disappeared without a trace.
'Was that tuff?'
Looking back at the family I smiled and turned away.
'Well, I've got more than enough money anyway.'
