Chapter 2 - The Billionaire in the Pink Robe

The weekend finally arrived, and the group gathered outside Jason's house, buzzing with excitement. The sun had just started to dip behind the horizon, casting golden streaks across the driveway. The air smelled faintly of fresh grass and cut hedges, and for once, everyone's focus wasn't on schoolwork—it was on the impending celebration.

Janaya Blake leaned against the gate, arms crossed, as Maya Thompson came running breathlessly from the street.

"I am so sorry!" Maya gasped, her hair disheveled and sneakers scuffed. "Traffic… I mean, buses… they were late… I swear, don't make me clean after the party!"

Jason raised an eyebrow. "Don't worry, Maya. There's a maid. You're safe this time."

Maya's face brightened. "Phew! Thank you! I promise I won't mess up anything else."

Daniel Brooks snickered, nudging his friend. "Safe, huh? Typical girl excuse—always late, always lucky."

Maya rolled her eyes dramatically. "Shut up, Daniel! At least I'm here!"

As they finally made their way inside, the group joked nonstop. "I wish Maya wasn't saved so she would wash hundred of cups tonight," someone teased. "She'd probably still manage to break half of them."

Everyone laughed, but then Jason went suddenly quiet. The laughter died down as they noticed his expression had changed, eyes widening slightly, jaw tense.

"What's wrong with him?" Daniel whispered.

Then they saw it.

A man in a pink Mickey Mouse robe. On his head was a massive headphones. In his hands, a spoon of Nutella. And… he was dancing.

Not just any dancing. Dramatic spins, sudden drops, pretending the Nutella bottle was a microphone, singing at the top of his voice, miming an invisible partner, and completely unaware of the world around him.

It took a moment for the group to process.

Janaya froze.

Maya's jaw dropped. "Is… is that…?"

Jason's face went pale. "That… that's my brother."

"THE billionaire?" Maya whispered. "The CEO who's supposed to have a cold, untouchable aura?"

Jason cleared his throat, visibly embarrassed. "Yeah… that's him. But… don't laugh."

Maya's eyes sparkled. "But the CEO is known for his very cold attitude, and was said to never slack. Who would have thought he's a cute baby on the inside?"

Jason sharply cut her off. "Shhh! Don't say another word."

Before anyone could react, a spoonful of Nutella splashed against the wall. Damian froze mid-spin, finally noticing someone was there. His eyes scanned the room… and when they landed on all seven of them, he screamed. A sound that could have belonged to a terrified five-year-old rather than a billionaire CEO.

Janaya and the others didn't know whether to laugh, run, or call out his name. Their faces turned pale as Damian scrambled to clean the smear of chocolate, hair sticking out, robe half-wrinkled, headphones dangling.

Jason hurriedly waved. "Guys! Upstairs! My room! Now!"

The group bolted, laughing nervously, leaving Damian to bare the shame of his private performance.

Once safe in Jason's room, questions flew.

"Was that… seriously him?" Daniel asked, incredulous.

Jason shook his head, embarrassed. "Yep. Billionaire brother. CEO. And yes… that was him."

Maya gasped. "He's… hilarious. I didn't think he could be funny, or… human."

Cole smirked. "I always imagined him cold, ruthless, intimidating. That… that was a cute baby version of a CEO."

"Exactly!" Maya squealed. "Who would've guessed?"

Jason groaned. "Focus. The music."

Soon, someone hit play, and the room filled with thumping beats. Drinks were poured, and slowly, the group let themselves go. Tipsy laughter replaced nervous chatter, jokes became louder, and for a moment, everyone forgot about the embarrassing billionaire in pink.

Then came Truth or Dare.

"You're up, Janaya," someone announced.

Janaya blinked. "Me?"

"Yes," Maya teased. "Truth or dare?"

Daring her, the group roared in laughter. "Sneak into your CEO's brother's room… and steal one of his shirts!"

Janaya froze. The room went silent.

"What?!" she whispered.

"Go on!" Daniel encouraged. "It's just a dare."

Heart pounding, Janaya tiptoed downstairs. Every step felt like it echoed in the cavernous house. She peeked around corners, checking the hallway. Then she spotted the door: Damian's room.

Taking a deep breath, she opened it slowly. The room was sleek, minimalistic, and completely… normal. And then… a shadow moved. Damian, fully awake, was suddenly there.

Their eyes met, Time slowed.

He didn't yell. He didn't move immediately. He simply stared, alert, composed, intimidating. Janaya froze, realizing she'd been caught.

"Uh…" she stammered, dropping the shirt she had just grabbed.

Damian's expression softened slightly, curiosity replacing the shock. He didn't say a word. But in that moment, Janaya felt the weight of his gaze. Heart racing, she backed out quietly, retreating before he could fully confront her.

By the time she returned upstairs, the group had erupted into laughter. "So?" Maya asked. "Success?"

Janaya shook her head, cheeks burning. "He… he noticed me."

The group didn't care. They were too tipsy, too drunk on the excitement of the house and freedom.

Hours passed. Drinks were finished. Music slowed. Laughter echoed through the mansion. Eventually, the group dozed off, sprawled across the cool tiles and couches.

Meanwhile, Damian, protective of his brother, quietly entered Jason's room. Lifting the sleeping Jason onto the bed, he tucked him in meticulously. The rest of the friends shivered on the floor, cold air from the AC biting at their skin, muttering in frustration.

"Seriously? He just leaves us here?" Maya complained with her voice sounding all drunk

"I hate him," Daniel groaned. "All he cares about is Jason, I mean we are also drunk also"

"Yeah!" another agreed. "We survived a house party, and he just… vanished into the bedroom. Billionaire priorities, huh?"

Laughter mixed with groans filled the room as everyone tried to make themselves comfortable.

The next morning, the aftermath was worse than any hangover, No one spoke to anyone. Every glance carried judgment, every accidental touch was met with cold avoidance.

Janaya avoided Maya, who had slept on the couch next to her, fearing more commentary. Daniel tried to quietly sneak past Jason without making eye contact. Even Jason was unusually silent, nursing a guilty look for the chaos his house had caused, Cole ignored Jane as the scene where he passed out on her laps kept replaying.

Breakfast was eaten in tense silence. Small whispers floated around the room:

"Did you see him?"

"Yeah… I think he noticed Janaya last night."

"Did anyone else notice the Nutella incident?"

"Shh!" Maya hissed. "Let's just… pretend last night didn't happen."

Even Janaya, despite her natural composure, felt her cheeks heat as she replayed the embarrassing night in her mind.

By the time classes started that day, everyone was acting as if the billionaire brother and his embarrassing antics had never existed, except for the whispered jokes behind closed doors.

And Janaya? She avoided thinking too hard about that sharp, alert gaze in Damian's room.

She didn't know it yet, but that brief encounter would make her more cautious around the Carter brothers than she had ever imagined.

The night had ended with laughter, shame, and spilled Nutella, but it had also set the stage for future chaos.

Because now, everyone knew: Jason's brother wasn't just powerful. He was unpredictable, unmissable… and completely, unintentionally hilarious.
