The black SUV rolled to a stop deep in the shadowed outskirts of Rome, far from the glittering lights of the family estate. The area was completely isolated — the perfect place for the kind of work Alessandro was about to do.
He stepped out of the car, a thick brown cigar already lit between his fingers. The night air was cool against his skin, but the rage burning in his veins made him feel nothing but heat. He took a slow, deep drag, the ember glowing bright orange in the darkness as smoke curled around his sharp jawline.
Marco was already waiting beside another vehicle, arms crossed, his face serious.
"Boss," Marco greeted with a nod.
Alessandro exhaled the smoke slowly. "Talk."
