Chapter 3 - Chapter 3:-The Voice Inside

When I woke up, I saw my grandmother standing near the door holding a cup of tea.

"Wake up, Amit," she said gently.

"I'm awake, Grandma," I replied, sitting up slowly

Everything felt normal...

But something still felt off

I couldn't make sense of it

Maybe it was just me.

Or maybe. .. It was the way she spoke.

Something about her voice felt slightly different.

I shook my head trying to ignore the thought.

That dream… the throne… it still felt real.

Like it wasn't just a dream. —it was slightly different. Maybe I was just overthinking, or maybe everything that happened last night was still affecting me.

My mind was restless, filled with confusion.

I got up and went to freshen up, trying to clear my thoughts.

my grandfather wasn't home. I didn't know where he had gone.

And then it hit me—I would have to leave soon.

My summer vacation was almost over, and I couldn't stay here much longer.

My school project was still incomplete, waiting for me back home.

But it didn't feel important anymore

and I knew I had to go back.

My parents arrived around 1:30 pm, in their car.

But my grandfather still hadn't returned.

That was strange. He never stayed out this long.

No one knew what had happened.

When my father asked my grandmother about it, she stared at dad and she simply said he had some work to do.

But something about her answer didn't feel right and she behave strange.

As the day went on, the atmosphere started to feel… different.

The wind outside grew stronger, moving in an odd, unsettling way.

It didn't feel normal

We tried to ignore it and continued with our day.

Soon, it was time to leave.

We packed our things and sat in the car, waiting.

For a moment, everything felt normal again.

But that feeling didn't last long.

Just then, my grandfather finally arrived.

But the moment I saw him…

I froze.

His clothes were dirty—completely unlike him.

He was always neat and clean, someone who hated even the smallest stain.

But today…

He looked different.

Something about him felt wrong.

As we got ready to leave, both my grandparents started acting strangely.

My parents didn't seem to notice anything unusual.

But to me…

It was as if…

They weren't the same people anymore. As we left, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.

The village, which once felt calm and familiar, now seemed… different.

The atmosphere had changed.

It felt like something unseen was watching us.

People around me started acting strangely.

The way they looked at me—it wasn't normal.

Their eyes followed me, as if they knew something I didn't.

Soon, we reached the city.

But even after returning, that uneasy feeling didn't go away.

Our home was in Rohini city, and by the time we arrived, it was already late.

Instead of going straight home, we decided to have dinner at a nearby hotel.

Everything should have felt normal again…

But it didn't.

I still felt the same strange presence around me.

Something I couldn't explain.

Something that refused to leave me alone.

Even the smallest things started to feel unsettling.

I couldn't understand what was happening to me.

Why did everything feel so wrong?

Why did everything feel so… disturbing?

As I sat there, lost in my thoughts—my head suddenly started to feel heavy.

At first, it was just a dull pain…

But within seconds, it grew worse.

Sharper.

Deeper.

It felt like something was pressing against my mind from the inside.

I held my head, trying to steady myself—but the pain didn't stop.

It only grew stronger.

And then—

Images.

They flashed before my eyes.

That throne…

That palace…

That place…

I had seen it before.

In my dream.

But now—it felt real.

Too real.

I wasn't there… yet I could see everything clearly.

The cold stone beneath my feet.

The massive throne standing in the center.

And a presence…

Something… watching.

My heart started pounding faster.

I tried to look away—but I couldn't.

Something was pulling me deeper.

Then—

A voice.

Heavy.

Dominating.

Not loud… yet it echoed everywhere.

Inside me.

Around me.

"You are possessed."

The words hit me like a shock.

My body froze.

Every hair on my skin stood up.

That voice…

It didn't feel human at all.

It was sharp, cold… and powerful.

As if it didn't belong to this world.

For a moment, I couldn't breathe.

I couldn't think.

It felt like my soul itself was trembling.

That voice…

"It didn't feel human at all."

"Amit… Amit, what happened?" my mother's voice broke the silence.

My father looked at me with concern.

"Are you okay?"

I blinked, trying to come back to reality.

"I'm fine, Mom… Dad," I said, forcing a normal expression.

But inside… I wasn't fine at all.

Something I couldn't understand

We reached home soon after.

As soon as I entered the house, I went straight to my bedroom.

I didn't want to talk to anyone.

My mind was still stuck on that voice and pain.

And then—

I saw it.

A black shadow…

Standing silently in the corner of my room.

It didn't move.

But somehow...

I knew..

It was watching me.
