Aria's POV
I did not sleep at all that night.
Instead of going to bed, I stayed in the war room, sitting alone with my phone in my hand. The anonymous message was still on the screen, and I kept reading it over and over again, as if something new would appear if I stared long enough.
My mind kept going back to Serena Vale.
I thought about the way she had spoken earlier in the hallway. Everything she said had been smooth, controlled, and perfectly planned. It was the kind of speech that didn't leave room for mistakes. It made her sound trustworthy… maybe too trustworthy.
Then I remembered the way she had looked at Lucian when she thought I wasn't paying attention.
That look stayed with me.
And then there was the timing.
