As the evening light shone across the City of Sparrows, Mikhail and Kevin walked back towards their homes.
They both carried their hunting bags, which got the attention of people passing by.
Even though Kevin's home was in the opposite direction, he still decided to walk with Mikhail.
"Man, I couldn't show off." Kevin grumbled softly. "No one challenged me."
"I am pretty sure Brandon would have done that." Mikhail replied, shrugging. "Well, if he had won against me."
Kevin nodded his head and sighed. "It would have been so cool if you got your ass whooped and I took revenge for it."
Mikhail's lips twitched. 'This brat really thought I was a side character in his story.'
Kevin changed the topic before Mikhail could say anything. "By the way, where did you vanish during the speech?"
"I was called by Liliana." Mikhail replied. "I don't know why she called me though."
To keep himself above suspicion, Mikhail lied to him.
