A cold breath left Killian's lips again. He folded his arms, looking intently at the blond boy.
"Are you insinuating that I treat you differently, and only accepted your offer today, because I learned that you are a Top Scorer?"
"Yeah, definitely. You went out of your way to speak to Ephraim yesterday but not me."
"And he's not a Top Scorer, just easier to talk to than you." Killian forced a chuckle, finding it incredulous that he had been reduced to a self-serving person. "Just stop assuming things."
He walked out before Theodore added anything else. After he just went through hell to help him test his Realmcraft, and accepting silence when he had said hello to him earlier, being branded as self-serving was tiring.
His shoulders slumped as he walked. 'This is why trying to make friends is so exhausting.' The conversation drained the last of his energy, and his new goal was just to sleep."
