Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: Six Years, A New Army, and the Return to Mumbai

Six years flew by like air. In her villa in Switzerland, Naina stood, gazing out, her thoughts consumed by the unfinished business back home. She had returned to her real house to gather evidence, and there, she had met her younger brother, Arun, who had surprisingly found some crucial pieces.

Naina had joined the Army, a path she was genetically predisposed for, having already designed advanced weapons in her youth – a secret known only to a select few: her father's head of intelligence, Arun, and Vikram, as her father had always wanted to shield her from danger in her early years.

Amidst her mission of gathering evidence and dismantling the enemy's network, Naina discovered she was pregnant – a stark, undeniable consequence of Manik's brutal act. Fear mixed with a strange, bittersweet joy. She was worried about raising children without a partner, but a part of her was deeply happy to see her bloodline continuing. Arun, Vikram, Vikram's grandfather, and Riya (Vikram's wife, her school friend) rallied around her, providing unwavering support.

Four years into this new life, Arun had fallen in love with Myra, a brilliant architect from a respected family in London. Arun, an Automotive Design Engineer, also worked closely with the Army. Myra had given birth to a beautiful daughter, Shanaya.

All the enemies responsible for her parents' deaths had been systematically eliminated by Naina, Arun, and Vikram. Vengeance was hers. Now, it was time to return to her adopted parents. She missed them terribly, especially her mother, whose unwavering support had been her anchor during those dark days, particularly when Naina orchestrated the elaborate charade of "Priya's death," with Vikram's help, to fully commit to her mission. Her adoptive family was now the home she yearned for.

"Mom, I'm coming back to you," Naina whispered, tears stinging her eyes. "I miss you."

A sweet voice called from behind her. "Mom, who do you miss?"

Naina turned to see her daughter, Aditi, standing there, with her two sons, Aryan and Vihaan, beside her. Naina knelt, gathering them close. "I miss your grandmother. We're going to meet your Grandfather, your two Uncles, your second Grandmother, and your second Grandfather."

"Really?!" Aditi exclaimed, her eyes wide. Naina simply nodded.

The next morning, Naina, her three children, Vikram, and Riya (who had married Vikram five years ago and had a son, Dev, who was a year younger than Naina's eldest) gathered. Arun and Myra, with their daughter Shanaya, and Myra now pregnant again, were also there. Everyone was excited to meet Naina's adopted parents, whom they affectionately called her "in-laws." Naina wanted it to be a complete surprise. They were now at the airport, on their way to Mumbai.

They reached Mumbai in the afternoon.

At the very same time, across the bustling airport, Manik also arrived, accompanied by Anjali, Kabir's wife, and Kabir's two children: a daughter, Kiara, and a son, Rohan.
