Chapter 8 - Rin Aokawa Is Dumbfounded — My Videos Reach the Entire Multiverse?! (1/4)

"Can we finally enter the ruins?"

On the island, all the archaeologists were filled with excitement.

"Cynthia, let's go—we're heading in!" Professor Okamaki from Sinnoh said eagerly.

The ruins had been opened.

The mysterious veil of that unknown Legendary Pokémon could finally be lifted.

And in the Legendary Pokémon records—

Beyond Groudon and Kyogre—

There would be yet another entry.

They would be its discoverers.

They stepped through the entrance.

A long corridor stretched ahead.

An overwhelming sense of desolation washed over them—filled with the weight of history and the erosion of time.

They walked forward.

At first, the passage was narrow—barely enough for three people to walk side by side.

After nearly a hundred steps—

The space suddenly opened up.

They entered a vast underground chamber.

Roughly the size of a football field.

But—

It was completely empty.

No ancient structures.

No altars.

Nothing.

The archaeologists were stunned.

Every ruin discovered before had contained some form of ancient construction.

Most commonly—

Altars.

After all, in ancient times, Legendary Pokémon were regarded as gods.

Worshipped.

Feared.

Revered.

"Professor… there's something on the walls."

Cynthia turned toward the wall beside her, raising her light source.

"…They're murals!"

Soon, the entire ruin was illuminated.

All four walls—

Covered completely in murals.

"So complete…"

"And they're documenting Legendary Pokémon!"

Professor Okamaki's heart trembled.

This was the most intact mural discovery ever recorded.

He could hardly wait to decipher its meaning.

Cynthia and the others turned to the first mural.

The moment they saw it—

They froze.

On the wall—

Were two enormous Pokémon.

One resembled a whale, its entire body blue, beneath it an endless ocean.

The other—

Crimson red, shaped like a dinosaur, surrounded by raging magma.

Professor Okamaki and Cynthia looked at each other.

"…Groudon and Kyogre?"

They had never expected—

That this ruin would just so happen to depict those exact two Legendary Pokémon.

Within the mural—

Deep within the ocean, and deep within magma—

Groudon and Kyogre lay dormant.

Then—

They awakened.

The moment they awoke—

They sensed each other's presence.

And immediately charged toward one another.

"It looks like… these two Legendary Pokémon don't get along at all."

"They seem to have been enemies from the very beginning."

Cynthia frowned slightly.

"But why would they start fighting the moment they wake up?"

It didn't make sense.

It was as if—

They carried some ancient grudge.

"Let's keep going. The answer should be in the murals ahead."

While the Pokémon world's archaeologists were absorbed in studying the murals—

Blue Star

Rin Aokawa had just finished a meal as a small reward for himself.

The price?

He was now completely broke.

Not a single coin left in his pocket.

Returning to his room—

He took a deep breath.

With a thought—

A video interface appeared before him, visible only to him.

"Please… let this video blow up. At the very least, let it go a little viral…"

"Otherwise, I'll have to go haul bricks tomorrow…"

He opened the creator interface.

Then glanced at the video he had uploaded an hour ago.

Comments urging updates: 100,000,000,000?

Rin Aokawa: "???????"

"…What the hell?!"

Staring at the endless string of zeros—

He was completely stunned.

What was going on?!

Was his system broken?!

A defective product? Bugged system?!

Can a cheat even glitch like this?!

Over 900 billion views—and still increasing by nearly a hundred million every second?!

Was this a joke?!

The total population of Blue Star probably didn't even reach 7 billion!

And this was showing hundreds of billions?!

Rin Aokawa felt like crying.

"My system really is garbage, isn't it…"

"…Forget it. I'll just find a job tomorrow."

"…Huh? There are comments?"

He opened the comment section.

(Note: Each user can only see comments from characters within their own world.)

[Monkey D. Luffy]: "Sugoi! Sugoi! That was awesome!! So cool!! Update faster! Where are the other nine videos?! Hurry up and post them!!"

[Sengoku the Buddha]: "Update the next video immediately."

[Ash]: "I'm fired up!! I'm six years old now—four more years until I become a Trainer and set out on my journey! Hurry and update! What are the remaining nine Legendary Pokémon?!"

[Goh]: "I've decided! I'm going to catch all the Legendary Pokémon and become a Legendary Pokémon Trainer!"

[Cynthia]: "Senior, I am Cynthia, Champion of Sinnoh. Could you please update the remaining videos soon? Also, may I ask—why is Groudon immune to Water-type moves?"

[Professor Oak]: "Damn cliffhanger author!!! Explain why Groudon can nullify Water-type moves! And what was that thing in the sky at the end?!"

[Saitama]: "Release the other nine alien monsters too. I want to see how strong they are. I've decided—starting today, I'll train even harder."

[Naruto Uzumaki]: "Wahhh… Tailed Beasts are so scary…"

[King Kai]: "What a pity. They're from another dimension. It would've been great if they were in my jurisdiction."

[Son Goku]: "They're strong. After I finish training here with King Kai, I want to fight them!"

[Frieza]: "Pathetic. Good thing they're in another world. Otherwise, under my army, their entire planet would be reduced to dust."

Looking at the flood of comments—

At the familiar usernames—

Rin Aokawa's head filled with question marks.

"What the hell is this…?"

Did viewers deliberately pick these IDs just to mess with him?

No—

That was impossible.

These anime didn't even exist on Blue Star.

So that couldn't be it.

Then…

Were these ridiculous view counts fake numbers generated by the system?

And the comments just bots?

That didn't make sense either.

His system wasn't that advanced.

Which left only one possibility—

Rin Aokawa's breathing halted.

A wild thought formed in his mind.

"…These commenters…"

"…could they actually be the real people themselves?!"

He hurriedly operated the interface.

Then noticed a small line beneath his profile:

[Videos uploaded will be automatically pushed to dimensional platforms across the Multiverse]

"—!!!"

Rin Aokawa's pupils shrank.

His mouth slowly opened into a perfect "O".

He remained frozen for half an hour before finally accepting reality.

Then—

An overwhelming surge of excitement exploded within him!

His videos—

Were connected to the entire Multiverse!!!

But if that was the case…

Was it really enough to only rank Legendary Pokémon from the Pokémon world?

A thought began forming in Rin Aokawa's mind.

A thought—

That could shake all worlds.

But first—

He had to finish the Top 10 Legendary Pokémon ranking.

Right now—

He was more motivated than ever.

Videos… broadcast across all worlds!!

Very quickly—

The second video was completed.
