Chapter 5 - Chapter 3: Six Years of Solitude and Strength

Six Years Passing Like the Wind

Sonia (Priya) stood on her ward's balcony, reflecting on the past six years—years that had passed like a wind, transforming her in ways no one had anticipated.

She had secured her spot at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts du Joaillier on a full scholarship, achieving a remarkably high score in the entry exam. This high-level success was easy for her, as she merely employed the learning skills and practical knowledge Priya had gained from her previous life as a renowned jewelry designer. To cover additional educational fees, she took a part-time job, embracing the independence she had known as an orphan raised in a gurukul.

Her college life progressed smoothly. She made two close friends:

* Aarav: A senior from her college in the music field. He was a solo singer who frequently performed at college concerts.

* Ishani: Her age and met through her part-time job. Ishani was studying Financial Management.

Sonia spent all her time juggling studies, a part-time job, and her health treatment.

Throughout these six years, she consistently ignored calls from Arjun, Avinash, and the Oberoi family. Though Priya understood they wanted Sonia to become independent, the original Sonia had been a fragile patient who needed comfort. Priya felt that when Sonia needed her brother and Abhay the most (during the initial shock and treatment), they had abandoned her. The original Sonia was patient and needed someone with her, not alone in a foreign country.

Independence and Herbal Secrets

Both Dr. Ethan Black and Dr. Julian Meyer repeatedly told Sonia that she did not need to work, as Abhay was fully funding her financial needs. Sonia adamantly refused, stating, "I want to become independent."

In secret, Sonia began searching for and consuming herbal medicines. Using Priya's knowledge of traditional medicine, these herbs significantly boosted her health and body nutrition, giving her skin a natural glow and flushing out toxins. The doctors, unaware of her secret regimen, were astonished.

Dr. Meyer (Charles) gave regular updates on Sonia's health improvement to Abhay's secretary, Rajat. Her recovery was nothing short of a miracle.

Sonia's personality underwent a drastic shift. She became confident, calm, and fiercely independent, traits that often shocked Ethan and Charles. Now, if they cracked jokes, she would simply glare at them. Where the previous Sonia was friendly and talkative, the new Sonia only discussed her medical status and nothing else. Ethan and Charles sometimes felt sadness, missing the innocent, old Sonia, but they understood that Sonia would likely never forgive them for the shock treatment they administered.

The only hospital staff member Sonia regularly talked to—aside from her two friends—was Nurse Margaret. Margaret was a senior nurse who had consistently offered comfort and support since Sonia was first admitted.

Graduation and New Opportunities

After years of relentless studying, Sonia graduated at the top of her class, and Ishani also completed her degree. Aarav, having graduated earlier, was now a fresh startup singer.

Thanks to her hard work, Sonia received an internship offer with an excellent salary structure. She was thrilled. She utilized Priya's advanced knowledge and skills seamlessly, excelling in her internship work.

The hospital doctors were genuinely happy for her success. Sonia was scheduled to be discharged in a few days, but she had no plans to return to India.

As the sun set, Sonia finished her mental review of the last six years and went to sleep. Tomorrow, Dr. Charles and Dr. Ethan were hosting a small farewell party for her.
