Phoebe sat at the left station, her headset already adjusted, fingers doing a warm-up run across the keyboard, muscle memory so deep it barely registered as a conscious thought. She looked comfortable here, relaxed a way only someone who had spent years in front of a screen could. Her setup was clean: double monitors, a controller within reach as backup, a glowing green light.
"Good to know. Number two," Phoebe said through the headset, her tone was teasing.
A beat of silence.
"Did my partner just…"
"Just noting the number," she said.
Taeyung turned his head toward her, examining her mask. Though he couldn't see through it.
She felt like he could.
For him, there was something strangely familiar about her. He just couldn't quite put his finger on it. His expression shifted into amusement.
