Chapter 72 - The Mysterious Gift Package—Open!

The third day.

With Zeff and Sanji helping out, Arashi felt incredibly relaxed.

He didn't have to worry about serving dishes or washing plates at all. Although Sanji was still young, he handled dishwashing with remarkable diligence.

What truly made things easy for Arashi, however, was the long line of customers outside.

Since most customers were already waiting outside, Arashi didn't need to cook one serving at a time. Instead, he simply made a large batch in one go and divided it into dozens of portions.

As soon as the final serving of fried rice was sold, Arashi hadn't even taken off his chef's uniform when the system's voice rang in his mind.

[System Notification]

[Congratulations to the host for successfully completing the mission: "Sell 1,000 servings of Ultimate Yangzhou Fried Rice." Reward: 1,000 Travel Points and one Mysterious Gift Package!]

[System Notification]

[1,000 Travel Points have been credited. Current total: 3,000 Travel Points.]

[System Notification]

[Mysterious Gift Package has been issued. Would you like to open it now?]

"Open, open, open…"

Ever since receiving the mission, Arashi had been completely hooked by this mysterious gift package. It was the very reason he had gone through all the trouble of opening a restaurant and selling fried rice.

Now that he had finally completed the mission, how could he not open it?

[System Notification]

[Opening gift package…]

[5… 4… 3… 2… 1…]

[System Notification]

[Gift package successfully opened! Congratulations, host, for obtaining a new ability: Voice of All Things. Would you like to integrate it now?]

Hearing the notification, Arashi froze for a moment.

Back when the system first assigned this task, he had already suspected it might grant some kind of ability. After all, this was Loguetown—the place where the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger, had risen and fallen.

In the original story, Roger's strength had always been somewhat mysterious. Mastery of all three types of Haki was a given, and his swordsmanship was undoubtedly extraordinary.

But Arashi already possessed all three types of Haki, and his swordsmanship had reached a whole new level. So it was unlikely he would receive anything along those lines again.

That was precisely why he had been so eager for this mysterious reward.

Only now did he realize—there was another ability on par with Haki.

The Voice of All Things.

What a pleasant surprise.

After only a brief pause, Arashi decisively chose to integrate it.

[System Notification]

[Integration successful. Host has acquired new ability: Voice of All Things.]

[System Notification]

[Loguetown journey completed. Please arrange your next destination promptly.]

Arashi ignored the system's prompt.

Back in Windmill Village, the system had imposed time limits on his travels. But ever since leaving Shimotsuki Village, it no longer restricted his journey.

At that time, he had only just obtained the three types of Haki at Level 5. In the system's judgment, that wasn't sufficient—it needed improvement. So it had forced him to move on within a set time.

But after gaining and refining his swordsmanship in Shimotsuki Village, the system stopped interfering with his travel plans.

A very humanized change—he liked it.

"Mr. Arashi?"

Just as Arashi finished integrating the Voice of All Things, Sanji ran into the kitchen, eyes shining with excitement. "Can you teach me how to make Ultimate Yangzhou Fried Rice today? I really want to learn!"

"Of course."

Arashi agreed immediately, smiling. "But I won't teach you step by step. I'll only give you the recipe, ingredients, and key points. Whether you can master it depends entirely on your talent."

Sanji lifted his head, his expression firm. "I can do it!"

Arashi believed him.

After all, in the original story, Sanji was the chef of the Straw Hat Pirates—there was no way he lacked talent.

Without wasting words, Arashi picked up a pen and wrote down everything he knew about Ultimate Yangzhou Fried Rice—the ingredients, the method, and all the essential details—before handing it to Sanji.

At that moment, Zeff walked over.

At first, he had thought Arashi was just talking and wouldn't actually teach such a signature dish.

But seeing Arashi genuinely pass on his culinary secrets to Sanji, Zeff couldn't help but feel a flush of embarrassment.

For a chef—especially a top-tier one—it was rare to share their secret recipes so easily. Even when teaching apprentices, most would hold something back.

Yet Arashi had kept his word and handed over the very technique that had caused a sensation in Loguetown.

And they had only known each other for less than three days.

"Arashi…"

Standing before him, Zeff hesitated for a moment before asking directly, "Are you really just a traveler?"

"Absolutely."

Arashi replied casually as he removed his chef's uniform. "When you arrived at Loguetown, you probably saw a ship docked near the Marine warships. That one—yeah, that's my traveler's ship."

"Oh, right."

Before Zeff could respond, Arashi walked to the counter and took out all the Beli earned over the past few days. He counted out a portion and handed it to Zeff. "This is your wages."

Zeff didn't take it.

Not because the amount was too little—but because Arashi choosing this moment to pay them felt… unusual.

"What's wrong? Too little?"

Arashi shook his head with a smile. "In that case, forget the wages. Consider this the transfer fee for taking over the restaurant."

"T-Transfer fee?"

Zeff froze for a moment before suddenly realizing. "You're really going to the Grand Line?"

"Mr. Arashi is leaving?"

Hearing that, Sanji suddenly grew anxious. "So soon? I haven't even started learning properly yet!"

"Haha, no need to rush. You're still young—you'll have plenty of time ahead."

Arashi smiled. "I believe in your talent. One day, you'll carry on and elevate this Ultimate Yangzhou Fried Rice even further."

As his words fell, Arashi suddenly fell silent.

Then he slowly looked around the restaurant he had run for just a few days.

Without a trace of attachment, he said calmly:

"Well then… Little Sanji, Mr. Zeff—goodbye."

Before either of them could react, Arashi turned and walked away.

"Leaving just like that?"

Zeff was stunned. "That's way too sudden—hey!"

But by the time he reacted, Arashi had already stepped out of the restaurant.

Seeing this, Sanji quickly ran after him and shouted toward his retreating figure:

"Mr. Arashi!!! I'll definitely carry on Ultimate Yangzhou Fried Rice—I swear! And… goodbye, Mr. Arashi!!!"

"Goodbye, curly-brow!"

"????"
