GEORGIA POV.
The next evening, after I got home from work, I went straight to the maids' living area.
They all stopped working and looked at me.
"Who among you did it?" I asked, and they looked confused.
"Georgia, is something wrong?" Hanna asked me.
"Someone has been putting a drug in Nikolaj' food. The drug makes him lose control. A few of you saw what happened last night, didn't you? He almost killed me. Me! Which one of you was doing it?" I asked, breathing hard.
"It wasn't me." Hanna said.
"Me neither." Another replied, and they all started shaking their heads.
"How many of you are in charge of cooking?" I asked, and about eight of them stepped forward.
"Who did it? You should speak up before I finish my investigation. Because I'll take my evidence to the police, and you will go to jail. Or what do you think the elders will do if they find out you have been drugging Nikolaj' food?"
A maid threw herself at my feet, crying.
"Please, don't. Please…"
