Chapter 26: The Pursuit (2)
Hearing Abel’s words, Hades put an odd look on his face. Then he plucked out the handkerchief off Abel’s grasp.
“Ah! G-give it back!!”
“Hang on, I just want to take a look.”
“N-no you can’t! Give it back!”
“I told you, I just want to have a look!”
Hades dodged Abel here and there as he sprang with his short legs trying to snatch back the handkerchief. Abel’s handkerchief looked nearly identical to the handkerchief He picked up in the dining room; a handkerchief with embroidery of a raven haired, crimson eyed face.
Hades tilted his gaze to Abel, who was now wobbling way under his eye level. The boy was currently wailing as he demanded his handkerchief back. It was hard to believe that he and Abel weren’t father and son by blood. The embroidery didn’t feel off to regard it as Abel’s face.
“Faaaather!”
“It’s not like it will wear out just by looking, what’s with all the fuss?”
