The Imperial secretary interrupted with slight excitement in his voice. He seemed to have understood what Pamela was intending to say.
Pamela gave a nod and spoke. “What could this mean?”
“Louvremont doesn’t stand to gain anything from that marriage. It is indeed hard to understand why he is taking such actions.”
The emperor gave a nod and Pamela grinned.
“That’s it exactly, Sire. I was convinced after seeing the duke demanding a revision in marriage law at this point in time.”
He requested for marriage law to be revised just to get married to a noble lady from a mediocre house when there was no way that she would be of any use to house Louvremont.
That would mean, the practical, calculative, and levelheaded Duke Louvremont now had someone by his side that made him a blind man to all other matters.
