Chapter 6 - Welcome to Your New Home

Some doors, once opened, can never be closed again…

And he hid his face, covering his hands, trying to block out the sound.

Alex knew he was a cunning monster, willing to use William's wife as leverage, not caring about the consequences.

He smiled his way into the Williams' murder.

Alex knew the layout of the house, avoiding detection as he made his way to the living room, where William's wife sat—unaware of the danger lurking in the shadows.

He crept up behind her, his eyes locked on the back of her head.

With one swift motion, he struck.

She collapsed.

Before her body hit the floor, Alex caught her and carried her out. Minutes later, she was thrown into his van.

By the time she woke up… it was already too late.

He dragged Sarah's unconscious body into a hidden room in his house—a place no one else knew existed. A room designed for moments like this.

Cold. Silent. Merciless.

He tied her to a chair, binding her hands and feet tightly with rope.

As her eyes slowly fluttered open, Alex smiled.

Not a warm smile.

A cruel one.

"Welcome to your new home," he said softly. "You'll be staying here… with your dear husband."

Confusion flickered across her face—until he pointed.

Her eyes followed his hand.

And then—

They widened in pure horror.

William's lifeless body lay in the corner.

"No… no, it can't be…" she whispered, her voice breaking.

Alex laughed.

A slow, terrifying sound.

"Oh, it's true," he said. "Your husband is dead… and you're going to join him soon."

"No… NO!" she screamed, tears pouring down her face.

"William! William!"

Silence answered her.

She struggled violently against the ropes, her body shaking, her breath uneven.

Again and again—until finally—

The rope loosened.

She dropped to the ground and crawled toward him, her hands trembling as she reached his cold body.

"William…" she sobbed.

"William… please… wake up…" she begged, her hands gripping his shirt. "This isn't funny… please…"

Nothing.

No breath.

No movement.

No warmth.

Just death.

Tears streamed down her face as her body shook uncontrollably. She pressed her forehead against his chest, as if she could force his heart to beat again.

"I'm here… I'm here…" she whispered. "You're not alone…"

A slow clap echoed from behind her.

Once.

Twice.

Then laughter.

Cold.

Cruel.

Applause for her pain.

Memories flooded her mind—the laughter, the love, the quiet moments they once shared.

Now gone.

Forever.

Her body froze.

She didn't need to turn around.

She already knew.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" Alex's voice slithered through the room.

Her hands curled into fists.

Rage replaced grief.

"You…" she whispered, her voice trembling with hatred.

Alex stepped closer, his presence filling the room like poison.

"I told you," he said calmly. "You'd be reunited with your husband."

She turned sharply, tears still streaming down her face—but her eyes burned now.

"You're a monster!"

He smiled.

"I've been called worse."

Before she could react, his hand shot out, grabbing her wrist tightly. He yanked her up to her feet, forcing her to face him.

"You should save your strength," he murmured. "You'll need it."

She struggled against him, kicking, hitting, desperate to break free—but he was stronger.

Much stronger.

"Let me go!" she screamed.

Alex leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a whisper.

"No one is coming for you."

Those words hit harder than anything else.

Her movements slowed.

Her strength faded.

Fear crept back in.

"What… do you want from me?" she asked, her voice barely audible.

Alex studied her face for a moment… then smiled.

A slow, dangerous smile.

"Everything."

Her heart skipped.

"What does that mean…?"

He tilted his head slightly, his eyes dark with something far worse than anger.

"Simple," he said.

"You belong to me now."

Her breath caught.

"No…" she whispered, shaking her head. "No, I don't—"

His grip tightened.

"You don't get a choice."

Sarah Alex's wife woke up to a strange noise.

Her heart pounded as she followed the sound through the hallway, stopping in front of a door she had never dared to open.

Tonight… something was different.

She reached for the knob.

Locked.

Her hands trembled as she searched for the key. When she finally found it, she hesitated—

Then opened the door.

And froze.

Her jaw dropped in shock.
