Chapter 90 - When the Law Starts Watching

When the Law Starts Watching

Power attracts attention.

And Damian El Diablo Reyes—

Had just drawn too much of it.

The First Signal

Somewhere far from the city—

Inside a secure government facility—

Screens flickered.

Data streamed.

Names connected.

A file opened.

DAMIAN EL DIABLO REYES

A pause.

"Who is he?" a voice asked.

No one answered immediately.

Because that was the problem.

No records.

No past.

No clear identity.

Just impact.

"He's not in the system," another agent said.

A third voice spoke—

Calm. Experienced.

"Then he's someone we should be worried about."

The Pattern

Files spread across the table.

Collapsed businesses.

Disappearing criminals.

Silent takeovers.

All leading to one name.

Damian.

"This isn't random," the lead investigator said.

"He's building something."

A pause.

"Something big."

The Order

"Put him under surveillance."

"Full scale?" someone asked.

The room went quiet.

Then—

"Full scale."

The Shadow War Begins

Cameras turned.

Phones traced.

Movements tracked.

But—

Nothing.

No mistakes.

No leaks.

No weaknesses.

It was like chasing a ghost.

Back at the Empire

Lucas walked into Damian's office.

"We've been flagged," he said.

Damian didn't look up.

"Expected."

Lucas frowned slightly.

"They're watching everything."

A pause.

Damian finally looked at him.

Cold.

Unbothered.

"Let them watch."

Silence.

Lucas studied him.

"You're not concerned?"

A slight smirk formed.

"They're late."

The Twist

Damian walked toward the window.

Looking down at the city.

"They think they're investigating me," he said calmly.

A pause.

"But they're walking into something they don't understand."

Lucas's expression hardened.

"What are you planning?"

Damian's eyes darkened.

"Control."

The First Move

Back at the agency—

An alert went off.

"Sir… you need to see this."

The lead investigator turned.

"What is it?"

The agent swallowed.

"He just… accessed one of our internal servers."

Silence.

"That's impossible," someone said.

Another pause.

Then—

"He left a message."

The room froze.

"Read it," the lead ordered.

The agent hesitated—

Then spoke.

"If you're going to watch me…"

A beat.

"…watch closely."

Silence.

Heavy.

Unsettling.

Because now—

They understood.

They weren't hunting him.

He was aware.

And worse—

He was ready.

Final Scene

Damian stood in the dark.

City lights reflecting in his eyes.

Unshaken.

Unstoppable.

Because this time—

It wasn't just criminals.

It was the government.

And the devil?

Didn't fear anyone.

Can the government stop Damian… or will they become part of his game?

And what happens when they finally get close to the truth?
