Chapter 189 - No Way Out

Part 2: No Way Out

The road burned with chaos.

Gunshots.

Screeching tires.

Shattered glass.

Everything happened fast.

Too fast.

Highway — The Chase

The convoy split.

Damian's car took the lead.

Lucas's team blocked the rear.

Enemies surrounded them.

But they didn't panic.

They were ready.

Inside the car—

Elara held Seraphina tightly.

Protective.

Fear in her eyes—but controlled.

Damian drove with one hand.

The other steady on the wheel.

Eyes sharp.

Cold.

"Hold her close."

He said calmly.

Elara nodded.

"I'm right here."

She whispered to Seraphina.

The little girl clung to her.

Silent.

Second Car — Ethan & Amelia

The car jerked violently.

Bullets hit the side.

Amelia gasped slightly.

Ethan grabbed her hand instinctively.

"Stay down."

She didn't pull away this time.

Her grip tightened.

"They're getting closer!"

The driver shouted.

Ethan looked through the window.

Three cars.

Fast.

Dangerous.

"…Damian."

He muttered.

As if calling him was enough.

And maybe it was.

Damian — Execution Mode

Through the comms, his voice came.

Calm.

Controlled.

Deadly.

"Switch formation."

Instantly—

The cars obeyed.

One moved forward.

Another cut across.

The enemies were forced to slow down.

Then—

"Now."

Gunfire erupted from Damian's men.

Precise.

Brutal.

One enemy car lost control—

Spinning off the road.

Another crashed into it.

Only one remained.

And it was still coming.

Relentless.

Damian's eyes darkened.

"You don't learn."

He accelerated.

Closing the distance.

Then—

A sharp turn.

His car slammed into theirs.

Hard.

The enemy vehicle swerved violently—

Lost control—

And flipped.

Silence.

The road went still again.

Back at the Mansion — The Traitor

The guard laughed softly.

Even with the gun pointed at him.

Lucas didn't blink.

"You talk too much."

The guard smirked.

"You're too late."

A pause.

Lucas's finger tightened slightly on the trigger.

"Explain."

The guard leaned slightly.

"They already made their move."

Lucas's eyes darkened.

"I know."

A pause.

"And it failed."

That wiped the smirk off the guard's face.

Lucas stepped closer.

"You were just bait."

Silence.

The realization hit him.

"You—"

Too late.

Lucas knocked him out cold.

"Take him."

He ordered.

The traitor was caught.

But the game…

Wasn't over.

Roadside — After the Attack

The cars stopped.

Damian stepped out slowly.

Unharmed.

He looked at the wrecked car.

Cold.

Lucas's voice came through the comms.

"It's done."

Damian nodded slightly.

"Good."

A pause.

"Bring him in."

His gaze hardened.

"Alive."

Because now—

It wasn't just about survival.

It was about answers.

And Damian always gets answers.

Inside the Car

Ethan sat back.

Breathing out slowly.

"…That was insane."

Amelia looked at him.

Still holding his hand.

She hadn't let go.

And this time—

He didn't say anything about it.

He just held on.

Because in the middle of chaos—

That was the only thing that felt real.

End of Chapter

The traitor was caught.

The attack failed.

But Azrel…

Had only just begun.

And next time—

He wouldn't miss.

To be continued…
